Advantages: Different quality to pictures, easy to use Disadvantages: Not for professionals
I discovered the LC-A after seeing a spread in a magazine on this much loved little camera. What attracted me was the colours in the photos and the rather cavalier method of taking pictures - people's elbows, blurred ceilings, awkward shots of the sky, everything seemed to look beautiful. So I rushed down to the 'Lomo embassy' (a tiny shop in Farringdon), every spare inch of the wall was plastered with photos I assume taken by lomo devotees from around the planet. At the time I bought it, it was about 75-80 quid, which at the time I thought was a little pricey, but there's nothing around quite like it. I got a little box containing film, instructions, a book, and signed up to the 'club' (so you get letters and emails about new products and events).
The camera itself is quite small (slightly smaller than those larger post-it notes ...
Advantages: Easy to use, unique images and very cool design Disadvantages: If you don't know what you're doing, it may take you a while!
I was given the Lomo Fisheye 2 camera as a present by my boyfriend at the time, as an enthusiastic photographer I thought this is a brilliant product for me to try out and see if I can broaden my abilities.

It uses normal 35mm film too, which is easily affordable and can treat the film as any normal camera when you get it developed. No special treatment required! There is also a flash setting should you need to use it, so no need to worry about lighting (unless you're a pro and after the 'perfect' photo). Lomo have even added ...

Advantages: free film Disadvantages: not local, inability to answer e-mails quickly
I received a free film etc from Lomo, and decided to give it a try.I waited over a week for my films to appear on line, and for the photos etc tobe received. I then ordered reprints over the net, that was nearly three weeks ago, and I am still waiting. I e-mailed them numerous times, and eventually received a reply saying my money would be refunded if the photos were not received this week end. I shall be taking future films to the local developer. So much for their boast of 33 hours to receive films.
If you want to be kept waiting this is the company to use. I did receive one reply in a foreign language, which I did not understand, my e-mail was in English.Once I sorted out the site , which I found confusing the quality was good. I thought the idea of a C.D. with the pictures on was good, but I can now get this service locally. ...
