Ever since Londis replaced Alldays from the row of shops near my house it always had the 'dodgy shop' image surrounding the store. Seeing all cheap, Londis brand goods i for one must be honest I always used to avoid going in. However since a rival market closed Londis was the only place to go and boy has my mind changed about them....
******************** Products on offer:
With Londis being a supermarket, it sells practically everything. Like all supermarkets it sells the everyday needs such as milk, bread, chocolate (my everyday need - lol). Also it sells drinks ranging from water to fizzy drinks such as Dr Pepper, Cherry Coke etc and also videos ranging from top titles to older movies like Blade Runner. Like all markets they supply products like pampers to toilet cleaning fluid. Londis sells everything apart from one thing that they need to sell, which could spark up their business even more...Newspapers and magazines. If they sold this in my local store then they easily will boost their trade.
******************** Prices
As I tend to go for cheaper products as a lot of items which are brand named do exactly the same as non-brand named goods I find Londis generally offers low price items. They tend to have deals on a lot of the time such as buy 1 get 1 free or they sell Pepsi at knocked down prices such as 30p. Also they sell their own products such as Londis soup and Londis brand drinks which cost half the price of brand items. Londis also rents the videos at very cheap prices and offers. The latest offer is get a top title video for 99p (generally £2.25) if you return it on same day which is excellent value for money.
******************** Layout of shop
From the outside of the shop they tend to advertise on their window all the latest offers such as the latest videos available to rent or offers on food etc, so it keeps people updated with out them having to enter the shop and looking around. As soon as you enter the shop u have to travel up a small ramp which enables wheelchair users and younger children to easily access the shop. The shop is then divided into several sections, which makes people easier to shop. The sections are Drinks, Sweets, Dairy products and refrigerated goods, food, fresh bread/pastries and household goods. The walkways are very wide (approx. 6.5 feet wide) which enables wheelchair/pram owners to easily access all sections of the shop.
******************** Staff
At the moment the shop has 6 workers who all work different times of the day and I honestly say that they are all excellent staff members. All are very polite, fast workers i.e. till work is very quick, so the queues are never long so people don’t have to queue for long. The staff are all friendly towards the customers and you easily get to know the staff so they are always up for a chat, and occasionally let you get some staff discount - yay.
******************** Overall opinion
Londis is an excellent store to visit; it offers low price products of excellent value. It considers many customers such as wheelchair users and pram owners. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Don't think I've ever been in one, but judging by this op I should next time I see one. As I work in Iceland fratanising with the enemy is something I tend to avoid!!! Thanks! Anna
Advantages: Not too many, let me think - oh yeah, they do a nice range of breads and cooked meats! lol Disadvantages: Dirty, over expensive, staff who know nothing.... oh, just read the op!
