    Advantages Advantages Cheaper, More compact than previous years

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Less content, harder to read due to smaller size

    The annual Best in Travel book from Lonely Planet (previously called Blue Guides), is a round up of the best 'trends, destinations and experiences for the upcoming year'. As most will already know, Lonely Planet are a well respected publisher of guide books for the independent traveller. In the past this book retailed for £15.99 RRP but this new book is more compact 14cm by 18cm, although still contains 200 pages (32 pages less) So therefore we are getting a slightly smaller amount content for less, plus we have to read the small print with a magnifying glass.     Advantages Advantages Lots of useul information

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not as comprehensive as a guide book on one area

    I subscribe to various magazines and the last one I decided to subscribe to was the lonely Planet magazine. I had actually been buying it for a while but, then decided it would be cheaper to subscribe as it always is if you know you will buy it every month and so I waited until they had something included with the sign up that I would appreciate. That’s where this came in as I saw it being advertised in one of the issues as the sign up gift and so decided now was the time as I really liked the look of it! What is it?
