The annual Best in Travel book from Lonely Planet (previously called Blue Guides), is a round up of the best 'trends, destinations and experiences for the upcoming year'. As most will already know, Lonely Planet are a well respected publisher of guide books for the independent traveller. In the past this book retailed for £15.99 RRP but this new book is more compact 14cm by 18cm, although still contains 200 pages (32 pages less) So therefore we are getting a slightly smaller amount content for less, plus we have to read the small print with a magnifying glass. I subscribe to various magazines and the last one I decided to subscribe to was the lonely Planet magazine. I had actually been buying it for a while but, then decided it would be cheaper to subscribe as it always is if you know you will buy it every month and so I waited until they had something included with the sign up that I would appreciate.
