Advantages: Nice place to walk or play sports, a good open space in the city Disadvantages: Can get busy in summer, not a good place to visit in the rain!
**** What are the meadows? ****
The meadows is basically the name given to a large park on the south side of the centre of Edinburgh. It is a large flat open area of grass and is popular with all age-groups. It extends for approximately 58.4 acres and is less than a mile away from the centre of town.
The meadows backs on to what used to be the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh which was Edinburghs main and oldest hospital. This has now been moved to an area on the outskirts of town and the hospital is undergoing redevelopment as Quartermile a development of upmarket apartments. Advantages: girly girls will like it, not as bad as some books coming in such collections Disadvantages: money-spinning emptinesss
Daisy Meadows is a pen name for a consortium of authors who produce the endless series of "Rainbow Magic" sets of fairy books. All the books bear the rainbow logo. Slightly confusingly, the first set of seven books was about the Rainbow Fairies.

Everything below applies to all the books in all the sets in the whole series, although obviously some books are marginally better or worse than others.
Altogether, it's an admirable entertainment franchise - and a provider of rather vacuous reading material to beginner female readers. There are worse things (don't get me started on the Tiara Club), but there is also many immeasurably better books.

Advantages: More choice/variety when shopping, good restaurants, good leisure, things for teenagers to do Disadvantages: Some people don't like the Meadow, say all shops in Wrexham have moved there and it is now empty
Eagles Meadow
Eagles Meadow is a £100million shopping and leisure centre in Wrexham which started being built July 2006 and opened up this time last year, in October 2008. I like the shopping and leisure centre and I think it has made a big improvement on the shopping side of Wrexham; it has made Wrexham go up twenty six places in the UK's best shopping towns for a start.
For Eagles Meadow's first, one year anniversary I thought I might write a review on it, as there aren't any on this site yet. So, here it is...
Shops
The shops in Eagles Meadow are all good quality high street shops, or I think they are anyway. As you walk across the bridge at the back of the shopping centre, the first shops you come across are Greggs bakery, Starbucks coffee shop and Millets outdoor shop (which always has some really good sales on ...
