...Introduction...
For those of you who don't know already. Loose Women is a topical entertainment show presented by women. It has a unisex audience and the program is on ITV1 Monday to Friday. It is recorded at the London Studios and is a 60 minute program.
...The Format...
Each day they have celebrity guests in to talk about what they may be doing whether it is a soap star or someone world famous who drops in for a chat. The panel sits with the guests and talks about a particular topic in the news that day. This can be interesting as you can often get very differing views from each panel member
...The Panel...
The show was presented by Kaye Adams who us on maternity leave after the recent birth of her new baby. In her absence there have been two main stand in presenters, they have been Jackie Brambles and Andrea Mclean.
...Target Audience...
Although it is predominantly women who watch this show you often get a few men watching it when they are at home and they often write in to the show. So although it is a show with women presenting there is still enough for men to enjoy the show. Coleen Nolan
Coleen is known as the funniest one of the panel and was a singer with her sisters in "The Nolans". She often talks about her relationship with her partner Ray who she often takes the mic out of on the show. She is known as being quite liberal and is often one of the more outspoken of the panel.
Carol McGiffin
Carol used to be married to Chris Evans and often talks about her life back then in the early nineties when she was coming into the showbiz industry, she has a radio show which she has been doing since 1995 on Talk Radio Uk. Carol is known as somebody who likes her drink. Carol is quite funny on the show and along with Coleen often has the panel in fits of laughter
Jane Macdonald
Jane is known for her singing on cruish ships but she often talks about the other jobs she has done before she was famous. She can be quite funny in her sarcasm with Coleen, Carol and whoever is presenting at the time.
Sherrie Hewson
The ex Coronation Street actress is probably the one who's left out a bit on the show as she tends to be the one who has the least to say but she can be quite witty, she often talks about her daughter Kaley.
Lynda Bellingham
She always seems to be flirting with younger male guests on the show and she is often talking about her past in the showbiz industry. She is also quite good in the debates they have and can come up with some points that cause a huge debate to arise.
Denise Welch
She is also someone who causes a debate to get out of control sometimes and she often talks about her relationship with partner Tim Healy (also an Actor). She currently starts in school drama Waterloo Road with Neil Morrisey.
Other Notable Panelists
There have been many other guest panelists these have included the likes of Josie D'arby, Claire Sweeney, Kerry Katona, Ruth Langsford, Jane Moore, Melanie Sykes, Carole Malone, Karren Brady, Jenny Powell and many others. too many to mention.
...Audience Participation...
The show has a pretty strong audience participation in terms of responding to something they agree with they do their own style of Question Time like clapping when one of the panelists says something sensible about a particular subject that is in the news that day.
Also there's quite a strong participation from the TV viewers who write in with stories of the chosen subject. they can often be things your partner does that annoy you or something to do with best ways to tell someone something they need to know.
...Overall...
I don't watch this very much but my mum likes this and I will sometimes watch it with her. My favourite two panelists are Coleen Nolan and Carol McGiffin because they can both be very funny and are quite liberal. If you havent seen this show and are looking for a fun show with celebrity guests and chat you could do far worse than watch Loose Women.

Great review. This is one of my all-time favourite shows, and I watch it every lunch time! I do agree; Coleen and Carol are two of the best! It's nice to see Zoe Tyler and Jo Bunting this week too! xx

Advantages: Effective decimation of unnecessary brain cells Disadvantages: By watching it, you're directly contributing to Jeremy Kyle's smugness fund.
