Grubbs Grady is a normal boy, with a like towards rubbish dumps. That is where him and his sister are diffrent. he likes to prank his sister, such as putting rat guts in her shower, which gets him into trouble.Alot. His life is great, he plays chess and is happy Until. He finds out the truth of his family, after he has seen his family ripped to shreds by demons. Of course nobody belives him that demons actually exsist let alone they killed his family. ... ...no escape. His uncle Dervish comes to his rescue. Telling him to trick his doctors to think he's sain so he can get out and start a new life. The Book is really good and by the other reviews I have read they think so too. I would recommencd this book and the seires to EVERYONE who can read and has a great imagonation. If it is available at a shop near you Buy it. I can promise you that you will feel at least 99.9% money well spent!

Advantages: Addictive Disadvantages: Should be longer!
...I am currently reading bec. Lord Loss is a brilliant book to read wich i recomend because of the twists of the storyline. There is always an unexpected jolt on the next page. This book is unputdownable. It is also original. There are books about aliens, supernatural powers and horror-monsters, but Darren Shan combines all of these and the outcome is of brilliance. It is good for young readers and old. When I finished the book i was eager for more ...

Advantages: Characters, Plot, Unnatural Disadvantages: Nothing much
I like to ask all readers that this book is not for the light-hearted, who like a book with a little fantasy, because this book has been carefully scripted to fully give the reader the gore images needed to put even the strong people into a slight shock, by its immense detail.
In this book, the readers are forced with a series of striking horror, thriller images. This book is about a young boys survival to in a world not belonging to him, and the ... ...got murdered.
The trauma of his parents and sister's death haunt him, as he moves on through his life, and the image of the chessboard keeps coming back to haunt him, why is this?
On the whole this is a great book, for readers who enjoy supernatural stories, with a lot of blood. ...
