Lost Planet: Extreme Condition

One of the most difficult games ever, Lost Planet Extreme Condition leads the life of a boy on a cold isolated planet filled with alien creatures called the Akrid. The game takes you on a single player adventure to find energy, destroy the Akrid and use dozens of weapons and robots. The robots are incredibly fun to use with the amazing different features available on them. The game has 11 missions to complete each with a final boss where if you loose, you have to start the whole mission again which is quite frustrating. The game was has 3 gameplay difficulties which are Easy, Medium and Hard and an unlockable Extreme which is basically impossible! Lost planet CE

Advantages: Stunning looking, Fun gameplay
Disadvantages: Can be Hard. Little Story

So Here it is, Next to Gears of war this was the most anticipated title for the 360 (ignoring halo3) The Demo cropped up on the Marketplace ages ago and became one of the most downloaded demos to date, it gave a stunning glimpse into the 360s future. The future is here....but only graphically. I could write a few paragraphs about the plot, but its pointless as the plot is defiantly a meaningless addition. Although there is nothing wrong with it as such, it feels like the story has been constructed around the game rather than the other way around. You may watch the cut sequences once, but on a second play through you will be hammering the buttons in order to skip them. The main selling point of this game is the graphics, and they are stunning. Lost Planet: Extreme Conditions

Advantages: Extreme amounts of action, takes full advantage of Xbox 360 graphic capability
Disadvantages: Multiplayer weaker than other online Xbox 360 shooters

To sum this game up - action and even more action - this game is a very fast-paced third-person shooter. There's both foot and vehicle based gameplay like in the classic 'Halo.' (favourite vehicle is the transformable snow bikes). The environments are massive with stunning graphic and much exploring to be done. This game has come from the creators of the critically acclaimed Onimusha and Devil May Cry series. This game probably has the best boss fights I've ever played on any console - they are very intense and challenging with superb visual effects. It compares highly with Gears of War (has superb artwork and design that feels like it came out of a Japanese anime), and in my opinion is in the top five games for the Xbox 360.
