applications (the stuff on the pc that is not viewable /available to the outside world eg other peolples bank accounts and transaction details etc). VB proved great for this as you can write very easy Programs from scratch to do most things on a pc.
Getting back to me using it - well in our office we had loads of Access and Excell and email users who all had various inhouse bits of spreadsheets software etc. VB allowed me to write programs to use all the microsoft products and put nice GUI (Graphical User Interfaces) front ends on them (Screens for easy user input)
The advantages with VB 6.0 are that you can very easily create programs from scratch in minutes
