Transparent and Loud!
Review of Harman Kardon SoundSticks II PC multimedia speaker system by theskysthelimit

Advantages: LOUD maximum volume, cool looks
Disadvantages: Bulky subwoofer

One of the coolest speakers i saw come out were the Kardon Soundsticks II multimedia speaker system. I didnt actually see them online or anything like that, the speakers are actually somewhat endorsed by apple, as I first saw them hooked up to almost all of the ipod's and apple mac's on display. The first thing i noticed was their unusual look - as obviously they are transparent. For me, that went on the plus side of things, as I can'r resist a funky ...
...can't quite describe but the unit is nicely accompanied with silver screws wires and other general add ons, so that nothing is too imposing. The only negative thing that I can think of is the size of the whole system, particurlaly the subwoofer. Bearing in mind that these are pc speakers, people do not always have the space for this size of speaker, no matter how good the sound is; and although the second amazing thing I noticed was the clear crisp ... Well Worth The Money
Review of Logitech Z 5500 Digital PC multimedia home theatre speaker system by appollo2006

Advantages: Excellent set of speakers
Disadvantages: None

Bought these speakers over a year ago and I have had no problems with them, they are still going strong. Extremely good quality no matter what sound you put through them. I don't think I could live with anything less than these speakers now, the upmix is awesome the bass is thundering and the sattelites are extremely well made. Make sure you have room to keep the bass atleast 30cm away from your computer as the magnet in the bass could wipe your ...
...These speakers are a lot more expensive than other speakers but are still worth the money you will not be dissapointed with these but I would recommend having a 5.1 compatible sound card instead of using the speakers upmix function, it gives a much better quality sound. Perfect for any home cinema system. ... Read review

...get with these. The Logitech V20 Notebook speakers fold away easily in the protective travel case, which comes free with it. The case is lightweight itself, and also with the speakers which give some indication of how light the speakers are. Enough room for the two speakers and your USB port, and even anything else small that you need. not that you need anything else to use the speakers. As far as I know black is the only colour they come in. ... Read review

Logitech X530 5.1 Speaker System
Review of Logitech X-530 PC multimedia home theatre speaker system by ianc1990

Advantages: Volume, Sound quality, design, price
Disadvantages: Easily damaged if dropped

Had these speakers for around 6 months now, not one problem, the sound quality and volume is absolutely amazing!! Never taught so much sound could come out such little speakers, and ever better, with amazing quality!!! The only downside to the speakers is the material used to cover the actual speaker, very stilish but if they are dropped or anything is grazed along the side, the cloth like material is easily ripped. But after all, i dont think ... Read review

Good basic speaker package
Review of JBL Creature II PC multimedia speaker system by 03bintls

Advantages: Looks cool, basic, no volume problems
Disadvantages: Bass is poor, not the best quality sound

The speakers look quite cool next to my white laptop, although I do feel the need to tuck the sub under my desk since it is quite big. The two speakers are quite funky looking as you can see, and one of them has two buttons on it. These are the volume control - one for up, one for down. The buttons are touch sensitive in the sense that you don't have to 'press' them down, just tap them. I think this is a nice feature. Underneath each speaker is a ...
...is powered on. This gives a glowing effect under the speakers, which can look ok. If you don't like it then you can always cover the light with blutak of something! The two speaker each plug into the main sub unit. The wires and connectors are all colour corordinated making the set up a breeze for anyone. Also on the underside of the sub is a connector of the computer and and on/off button. Again there is also a small green light which can only ... Read review
