Good value for money
Review of Labtec Pulse 485 by
dc6118
Advantages: Very good bass, clear sound, cheap
Disadvantages: Awkward control knobs
Bought these speakers over a year ago as part of my new computer build, have used them pretty much every day since and they are as good as the day I purchased them. Have owned some cheaper speakers before and these seem to be in a different class, for just a few pounds extra. The sattelite speakers are pretty standard, as you would expect from any system, clear sound, clean styled look, compact and easy to fit around a desk. The subwoofer however ...

Labtec Pulse 285 PC multimedia speaker system
Review of Labtec Pulse 285 by
liamscott1989
Advantages: 2 Speakers, 1 Subwoofer . Compact . Very Good Value .
Disadvantages: You may prefer a more powerful subwoofer for more bass .
...I ended up with this Labtec Pulse 285 and here is why!
I compared:
Labtec Pulse 285
Philips SPA1300 2.1 Speakers.
Philips SPA2600 5.1 PC Speakers.
+ more... (sorry i can't remember the others!)
Don't be fooled by the 'seemingly' low 6 Watt figure. On paper 6 Watts may seem a bit weak next to the competitors but when tested among 5 other setups these speakers are very loud and even still very clear with volume at 100%. Don't get me wrong you ... ...get a lot more than you need for PC speakers!
In reality the only difference you notice between the price ranges was the amount of bass being produced from the subwoofers.
I do like my music and bass has to be there to give the full effect which is why I have a 1400 Watt subwoofer in my car. The most powerful PC/Laptop subwoofer i tested was only 20 Watts or so - not really worth arguing over!
The speakers look the part too in a very smart black ...

Labtec Speaker System, Get your groove on!!
Review of Labtec Pulse 385 by
pfishers
Advantages: Loud, High Quality, Inline Remote
Disadvantages: No Phono Sockets
I have owned these speakers for around 8 months now, i bought them to be used with my pc to give me better sound for music, games and movies and i have to say that i am happy with these speakers, i have not had any problems or faults with them and i have enjoyed the quality i have got from them. one of the great features of these speakers is the volume remote, i have my subwoofer under my desk and it would be a pain to have to reach down there every ... ...the speakers. the remote has a volume scroller and a power switch so you can adjust the volume and switch off the power to the speakers without touching them.
The volume you get from these is amazing and there isnt much distortion of sound on full volume (although it is very rare i get anywhere near fully volume), although this will depend on the device you have connected to the speakers, this system is not only for pc users you can connect this ...

Review of Labtec Pulse 475 by
nivlekio
Advantages: Good sound quality. Simple to Operate
Disadvantages: Average Design.
...Design.
I feel Labtec could have done a lot better for the design for these speaker maybe they were just feeling lazy. But overly they look all right nothing to comment under this topic.
Ease of Installation
The speakers are east to install as it is easy to type I found no difficulty when I hooked these up to my computer.
Ease of Use
Well these being speaker and all they do not require much brain power to operate. There is a treble and a volume ... ...Range of Extra features
These only one with one feature..... that’s to produce sound nothing more nothing less and they do the job very well
Instructions manual
Once again I binned the manual no need for it extremely simple to operate.
Manufacturer Support
To be honest I can comment here I have no run into any problems here hence I have not called tech support. Value for money.
These are very good speakers and are very reliable. It does its ...

Loud little monsters, but a bit growly
Review of Labtec Spin 45 by
eddybennet
Advantages: Small yet loud and clear
Disadvantages: Distorted from 75% volume upwards
...soon came up with the Labtec Spin 45s. While they undoubtedly bought them from a specialist industry supplier, I have seen the same speakers for sale in a range of high street shops including Dixons and Maplin for around £10.
The speaker themselves are surprisingly small, and stand just over 15cm high. They are beige in colour, with a grey speaker fabric over the front of them to stop dust getting onto the cones. Under the "main" speaker is a bass ... ...This has a distinct advantage over speakers without, as it means the air come rush out of the speaker easily when a lot of bass is played, rather than rattling the speaker casing.
Installation of the speakers is very simple. They came with a manual, but I didn't bother looking at it. A stereo jack lead goes from one speaker to the computer's speaker socket, and the second speaker plugs into the first, like a daisy chain. There's over a metre of ...
