One of the coolest speakers i saw come out were the Kardon Soundsticks II multimedia speaker system. I didnt actually see them online or anything like that, the speakers are actually somewhat endorsed by apple, as I first saw them hooked up to almost all of the ipod's and apple mac's on display. ...can't quite describe but the unit is nicely accompanied with silver screws wires and other general add ons, so that nothing is too imposing. The only negative thing that I can think of is the size of the whole system, particurlaly the subwoofer. The speakers look quite cool next to my white laptop, although I do feel the need to tuck the sub under my desk since it is quite big. The two speakers are quite funky looking as you can see, and one of them has two buttons on it. These are the volume control - one for up, one for down. I have had many speaker / subwoofer packages in my time and I have to say that this one has proven to rate somewhere in the middle. One thing this product rates highly on is the power of the subwoofer. It provides a huge amount of base, enough to stand even a song such as Protection by Massive Attack (Which I use a general benchmark). Disadvantages: Bass adjustment may be out-of-reach for some

For a start, all you need to do is unpack the box, put the two speakers on your desk or wherever you want, and the subwoofer on the floor (technically it can go anywhere, but on the floor produces the best output). ...speakers produce crisp, clear sound right up to very high volumes (and they can go pretty loud!). The subwoofer also produces a lovely, balanced bass, although the bass setting doesn't need to be very high at all for the best sound. These speakers are excellent in every respect. They look stylish and sleek despite the size of the subwoofer, and deliver excellent sound at all volumes. There is a bass control in addition to the volume control, which is very useful as the bass potential of these speakers is very high, meaning ocassionally the more bass- heavy songs come across too powerful. ...the one disadvantage in my view is the presence of several unsightly large wires. There is one power cable, two cables leading from the subwoofer to each speaker, and a cable leading to the control box which in turn leads to the computer or audio device.
