B&W Speakers are the tops Advantages: Sound quality and looks. Disadvantages: Maybe would be better as wireless. Having watched B&W gain in popularity over many years (I remember when they started), This model is something else. Passive speakers are my choice and need to be used properly, Not for the head bangers, moreb for the person who appreciates quaily music and therefore, quaility equipment. Connection is no problem, although wireless would be nice. However, they look great and deliver on all aspects. ASW610 Advantages: Compact size Disadvantages: None I would consider myself, at best, an amatuer reviewer. I recently received my ASW610. Because of stock issues, I first used a ASW600 subbie and this was replaced by the ASW610. I have wooden floors in a 25m2 room, so perhaps I do not get the full benefit of the speaker. Comparing the 2 subbies, I find the ASW610 as good, if not better than the ASW600. It might be smaller, but it performs better. I only set the volume at about 50% which significantly ... Excellent sound quality, slightly heavy Advantages: Sound is perfect, looks are amazing Disadvantages: Slightly heavy These are AMAZING speakers! They have lasted for nearly 10 years and are still going strong, despite surviving through severla house moves and far too many parties! The sound quality is incredible, and I still haven't ever managed to put them up to the full volume as they're just so powerful! The build quality is fantastic, and for the price they offer amazing value for money. Brilliant DM 601 S3 Black Ash Speakers Advantages: Unique looking speakers. Superb unrivaled sound quality. Sleek design, Extremely well built. Disadvantages: Only that I can't take them with me everywhere. I had some birthday money burning a hole in my pocket and decided to splash out on a set of these beautiful B&W speakers. At first I was told to use them at very low volume just to break the cones in as they were brand new. Turning them straight up to full would more than likely have ruined them. So I played them very softly for about the first hour and gradually increased the volume until I was satisfied with what this speakers could do. I was ... ...sound that much different to cheapers models but these are way above the league of most loudspeakers. They are stunning to look at with or without the protective grills (without looks better). When you expose the lovely yellow kevlar woven cones for yourself you will see what I'm talking about. You can't get better speakers than this for the money in my opinion. B&W 683 Advantages: Great value and sound Solid Disadvantages: Need some great gear to match After owning the 683 for 4 months now, I would say this speaker is hard to beat with the price. Great look and sound. Excellent imaging and resolution. This speaker reveal your equipment faithfully so if u are into stereo becareful with system matching and cabling, it might be too bright with some setup. For movie, this speaker is adsolutely mind blowing. I had them run with a yamaha v3800 for HT, the result was superd.
