Pioneer HTP-GS1 user review Advantages: Small form, looks, quality surround sound, simple set up. Use with DVD XBOX SKY Disadvantages: Slightly bass heavy This system is easy to set up, with the Amplifier in the sub unit it is also relatively small so good if space is tight. The system happily connected up to my 360 and also my DVD player and Sky box, and has produced well above average results - films, games and normal TV sound great and there is a host of options to suit your taste. Speakers Advantages: Good Disadvantages: Not many I brought my set of tannoys 15 months ago and, at the time,they cost £300.Now,with a little searching around,they can be obtained for under £200. What you get in the box is five satellite speakers(two front,two rear and a centre speaker) plus a seperate powered subwoofer. You also get wall mounted supports for the two front and two rear speakers and all the speaker cables(i changed the cables to 79 stand q.e.d. speaker cable to improve the sound). ... ...need an electric drill for the the wall mounted stands and once fitted,you just connect the cables to your home cinema amp. Easy!! Once you have connected everything,it is time to try out the system. My first reaction and i am sure yours will be the same was one of complete disbelief!! The sound quality for such small speakers is extremely good with high quality bass and treble. The acoustic and tonal quality was bloody impressive and what I saw was even more so. My decision to go for Apple iPod was belated and was on purpose. I always contended that the there was no doubt about the quality of Apple but I had my own reservations about its audio capability. One sub-woofer and 2 smaller speakers, all of them with a white body and black front. The two smaller speakers are designed to act as a left and a right sounds, similar to headphones, with the sub obviously offering the bass and middle sounds.
