Wharfedale Diamond 9.1, excellent value for money
Advantages: Deep bass for a small speaker, nice look, UK made speaker Disadvantages: A litte bit on the bright side, will need support from a subwoofer
When I first saw this speaker in the showroom, I was not quite tempted that it would be the one I have been looking for. Short on budget, since I had to build a system from nothing, having been able to sell my Home Theater in a Box for 70% of its original price and with some extra from my saving, I planned to look for a speaker system which can start up a decent stereo system which can be developed into a full home theater system once I will be able ... ...luckily I was attracted by its somewhat bright but calm color cabinet, then therefore I requested an audition. Combined with a good DVD player and an AV Receiver in which I planned also to acquire, I tested the speaker without a Subwoofer. And the result was stunning. The bass is deep and round, although it will not shatter your glass windows, it is enough to inject tremble on your listening nerves. The mid and high tones are warm, and with a little ...

AEGO M - awesome
Advantages: Great look, sound quality and volume Disadvantages: No remote control
...and eventually decided on the Acoustic Energy AEGO M. After taking them out of the box, i was a bit skeptical of how loud the speakers would actually be, as they are very small (a similar size to a small bag of sugar), but are of a very heavy build, whereas the sub woofer is very large. I bought the black speakers which have a very slick and modern design. The system took a matter of minutes to set up, and was very simple. I simply attached each ... ...to the sub to my laptop through the ear phone plug in. When i plugged the speakers in, i noticed the awesome sound quality, i then began to turn the speakers louder and louder up until the maximum volume - the sound quality remains brilliant no matter what volume you choose. The maximum volume is very loud, considering the petite size of the speakers. I also fiddled around with the bass, of which there are 3 settings, 1 - 3 , all of which are very ...

Little Beauty
Advantages: Small and practical, Aux input, Sound produced is loud and of high quality Disadvantages: Weak materials used in build and tacky, plastic emblem.
...is only typical of every fender amp and is often reminiscent of blues rock and would be the perfect step into guitar playing for the beginner and would also suit the more experienced guitarist as this allows them to practice intimately at low volume as the timbre does not faulter. The amp also an AUX input which could allow, say a busker to play their backing track whilst they play their guitar over or to play over your favourite tracks personally ...

Sony SS-MB 250 H bookshelf speakers, great performance vs. price!
Advantages: Great tweeters, low-power but hq bass response with closed cabinets, screw type input terminals Disadvantages: Grilles affect the sound too much, must be removed - no floor spikes, speaker walks in high volumes
Great tweeters, fine midrange, superb finish. Bass response is not enough, there are many speakers in that size with much better low frequencies but enough for apartment listening. Though the midbass driver is not very groundshaking, its extremely fast and with a quality amp, there is not any blurred low frequency detail. Now using them as main/front speakers in my home-cinema/music system, hooked up both to the Fisher ca-2221 stereo amp and Pioneer ... ...is pleasant. They easily handle big amounts of power and do not distort while playing loud. Easily adapts to every kind of music - except techno and electronic. But there is not a problem for me as i am a hard-rock, trash metal listener. At least, much better than my former big floorstanding Jamo e-350 pair and Pioneer CS-595 pair. ...

Very good preferances
Advantages: Crystal clear sound and "Pure Bass", OK design and takes a little space. Disadvantages: 2 speakers in 1 enclosure - Bass and treble are in both one speaker,
Another set of Monitor Speakers.
Clear sound is the very first option that I noticed. Strait crystal clear treble followed by a neat amount of bass with a small help of high pitch. First of all I think that the set is very professional, it has this "something" that will fit to any home and professional music studio. Simple design and neat balance of sound did their job just as well. It still could use some philters to spread the sound but it doesn’t ... ...(pitch and Bass). The bass is something that knocked me out. I was impressed by the fact that a small monitor speaker like that could produce such a clear bass or as I like to say it "Pure Bass". My ears wouldn’t let me press the stop button.
The design is pretty simple and I don’t think that it would matter to all of us just because the settings are very satisfying.
So my opinion is - this is a very, very good set of monitor speakers. Buying them ...
