    As many of you will know, I do love a good read, whether it be a chick-lit book, a magazine or an autobiography, I've always got my nose in some kind of 'reading'. I had a week of work the other work, and so I did a fair bit of reading (lots of book reviews on the way!!). Today, I will be reviewing one of my recent reads by an author called Adele Parks.     Disadvantages Disadvantages predictable and boring plot and characters, just plain dull.

    As her 30th birthday approaches, Fern feels like her life is gong nowhere - in particular, her love life. Despite being with Adam for four years now, they still share a small flat in Clapham with her best friend and they do not have any prospects or finances to suggest that that will change any time soon. Fern is beginning to feel her body clock ticking and issues Adam an ultimatum for her 30th birthday: propose or prepare to lose her.     Adele Parks is a pretty new author to me. I have previously read one of her books which I enjoyed. I think it is the front covers of her book which stand out on the shelf and draw you in, as most of them are of long legs in grey and white with a bold bright pair os shoes! Not your usual chick lit front cover so they are hard to miss. I was recommended to read Love Lies by a friend who doesn't usually read but had been lent it and couldn't believe how good it was, so it was passed my way.     I am still quite new to Adele Parks' work - this is only the second of her books that I have read. I enjoyed the first one that I read and I enjoyed this one as much. I work in a library occassionally and one thing I notice about Adele Parks' books when I am putting them away is that the covers are quirky. This book revolved around a character called Fern. She has been with boyfriend Adam now for four years and as she approaches 30 she thinks that it is time that Adam makes a commitment to her.     This is the most recent Adele Parks that I have read and as I expected, it was wonderful. I stumbled across Adele Parks when I was searching for something to read in local charity shops. I am ashamed to say that I did judge her books by their covers but I am so happy that I did because her books are amongst my favourite. Love Lies is a recent addition to my collection and I thoroughly enjoyed every second of the read. Adele Parks’ writing style is easygoing and her stories are hard to put down!
