Jean Paul Got To Have!

Advantages: Great long lasting smell, nice bottle

I was bought this aftershave for Christmas this year by my girlfriend. I liked it so much; I thought I would share my opinion of it with Ciao. Packaging Jean Paul Gaultier 'Le Male' comes in a silver tin with the 'Jean Paul Gaultier' label embossed on the front. You can pull the bottom of the tin off, and the bottle of aftershave sits in a stand on the base, which is attached to the base of the tin. Inside the top section of the tin is a white plastic section which holds the top of the bottle square inside the tin, once the bottle is back inside which stops it from rattling around and possibly being smashed inside. The bottle itself is typical of Jean Paul Gaultier aftershave and comes in their famous body shaped bottle. This particular bottle is in the theme of a sailor. Jean Paul Gaultier - Oldie but a Goodie

Ahhh JPG where do I start? This has to be one of the most recognised Male fragrances there is! Years on and its still loved just as much as it was back in the day. I still remember my first whiff of this...my neighbour whom I used to babysit for wore this and from then on I've had a love for this which has never faded. Its quite a sweet heady scent however just oozes sexuality and confidence.. well to me it does anyways! I'm putty in a mans hands when he is wearing this. Nine ten years on and I still insist on my partner always having a bottle fo this as it is timeless to me. I'm sure many a woman and men remember their teenmage years smelling this and having that soft spot for it since....one whiff and you are taken back to those happy years of our life. What coudl be better than that? ...

oooh la la its jean paul

Advantages: the whole thing
Disadvantages: none at all

I am the most fussy person when it comes to buying aftershaves, none of them seem to suit me. They are either too sweet, too woody, wear off quickly or just plain horrid. That's where JPG suprised me. First of all you can see the very stylish bottle, which is a mans torso dressed in a sailors outfit, complete with the tin it comes in (which almost looks like a tin of baked beans with the label ripped off!) Then the important part - the fragrance itself. It's very easy to descibe as it is so unique. It has a sweet yet woody smell to it, also it has an oriental fragrance not too dissimilar to vanilla. Whilst it is very masculine, it strangly has quite a feminine side to it. Which leads me on to the 'Le female' fragrance. My girlfriend tried it because she loved the mens fragrance so much that she decided to try the female version ...
