Lowepro Apex 20 AW Case Digital photo camera

When we bought our camera a couple of years ago it didn't fit into the case we had used for our previous camera so we had to buy a new one. I found this case in either Comet or Currys (know it began with a C!) and I managed to get it in a sale for £16.99 instead of £19.99, it looks as though you can pick these up for around £12 now but it was about 2 1/2 years ago that i bought mine.

My camera case is black with a little bit of grey and I have seen them in blue and black but not sure what other colours are available. The case has one main compartment which is zip operated, inside the case is bright orange. When you open the main part of the camera case there is a nicely padded bit to protect you camera and then a very slim pocket with a vecro fastening which is meant to carry your memory card and even has a little picture of a memory card on it just incase you didn't know what it was for. On the outer side of the case still in the main section there is a black netted pocket which doesn't fasten for you to carry some extra batteries, this would be better if it fastenened in some way as when you put the case down without the camera in the weight of spare batteries makes it lay down on it's side and the batteries slip out of the pocket.

On the outside of the case there is two rubber semi circle shapes on the side to attach he shoulder strap to, the shoulder strap is string but quite this so i didn't really find it very comfortable to wear and generally the case just stays in my handbag until I want the camera. The zip of the main compartment has a pulley on it for easy opening and there is the Lowepro logo on the front of the case where it also has a rubber bottom, on the back there is a bit to go over your belt which fastens with velcro but the velcro is very strong so wouldn't be worried about dropping the camera and then there is the web address embroidered on the case incase you need further information.

The camera case is completely waterproof which is a good job as we got caught in a downpour on a day out once and I had forgotten that the camera was in it's case on top of the buggy, the case was soaked but the camera inside was bone dry. The case is easy to use and you do not struggle getting the camera out and miss the perfect photo, I would recommend this make but would prefer one with a shutting pocket for batteries and for this it loses one star so rating of 4 out of 5 from me
