When I was younger I always had my nose in a book. Being the huge animal lover I was, I often chose to read books about animals. The Animal Ark book series was very popular with me, and one of the titles was Polar Bears on the Path.

Although you should never judge a book by its cover, I always do, so it is important that it looks quite good! This cover is very attractive indeed. There is a gorgeous image of polab bears huddled together, looking adorable. Behind them there is a land of snow, the ground blanketed by the fresh whiteness. It looks so peaceful and heavenly, it drew me in straight away. The cover is definitely a winner with me.

The book is about Mandy Hope, whose parets are vets, and her best friend James. They find a lost polar bear and have to return it to its family. But will they be able to help it finds its way back, or will it be a stray in danger?

This is a cute little story and one of the few I have ever read about polar bears. I feel it is a fantastic book for children aged 8 to 13. The text is a nice size so they dont have to strain their eyes, and the language is basic and to the point. It is quite simple so they will not be worrying that they do not understand it. Not only that but it makes a great light read for adults too! The book does not require much thinking so it is great to relax with. It is also good for the less confident readers, and will hopefully boost their confidence and ability.

The book can be bought in most good book stores, such as WHsmith and Waterstones for around £5.99. However if you go onto Amazon.co.uk you can get it for just 1p! Even when you consider the postage and packaging charges of £2.21, it is a great price! I would definitely recommend you buy it, as you are likely to read this a good few times!

This is a very nice little book for any animal or polar bear fan, and is definitely worth a read. It has a nice little plot and is a great book in the Animal Ark series.
