I am still trying out many of the lush bath products after only discovering them at the end of last year. On browsing the Lush website I was attracted to this big pink ballistic. Called absolute delight. With a name like that it has a lot to live up to.
This is one of the larger bath ballistics and is about the same size as a tennis ball. This cost £2.20. I brought this from the lush website and it comes packaged in a little clear plastic bag. There is a label on the bag which will give you a list of all the ingredients used to make up this bath ballistic. As with all the products made by Lush, only natural ingredients have been used to make up this bath ballistic.
As soon as the bath bomb hits the water it starts to dissolve immediately. Clouds of pink fill the bath and the smell is very strong at this point. The ball continues to spin and fizz its way around the bath until it finally sinks to the bottom and vanishes.
Once the ball has completely dissolved, which takes about five minutes the scent becomes a lot weaker and is nowhere near as strong as when it first started to dissolve.
This absolute delight bath ballistic leaves the bath water lovely and pink and you could imagine yourself soaking in pink champagne, (but please don’t drink it). but the smell is very different, there is no alcohol for a start.
As I lay back and soaked for a while, the scent of roses filling my nostrils as well as the bathroom and upstairs landing. It is a fresh pleasant scent, and not too overpowering.
I found that although this bath ballistic didn’t dry out my skin, it didn’t moisturise either. I felt very refreshed after this rose bath and just as the name of the bath bomb suggests, it was an absolute delight to have a rose scented bath. I would definitely buy one of these again.
The rose scent was still detectable on my skin after I had dried myself and could still faintly be smelt the next morning. The lovely scent that had filled the bathroom slowly faded away and was completely gone within two hours after having the bath.
I have tried some of these bath ballistics before and I found that some of the coloured ones can stain the bath and the sponges or whatever else you use in the bath, but I am pleased to say that this bath ballistic is not one of them. When I got out of the bath and drained the water away my white enamel bath was still white and not a pink stain in sight.
