Anyone whose ever walked within fifty feet of a Lush outlet will know theres one near due to the overwhelming smell of lovely products!
My skin- Can be prone to spots and quite greasy, but is very dry and sensitive. I was recommended this product by the wonderfully helpful Lush assistant as a way to gently cleanse my skin, as sometimes the variety of products can be overwhelming.
The product- A very strange texture. The best way to describe is imagining clay with bits of pot-puree stuck in the middle! The idea is to rub the product over damp skin in order to cleanse. It does spread over the skin easily enough, and only a tiny pinchful is required to cleanse the skin. It also smells gorgeous.
The result- My skin did appear a little better, it certainly glowed a little more and appeared softer.
Value for money- As with all lush products, you choose how much product you take away, it's a little like a deli in that you pay by the weight. I wasn't sure if the product was for me, so i took a little tub of about £3.50 worth away. It did last well, as only a small amount is required.
Freshness? One of lush's big gimmicks is the freshness of products. They each have a 'sell by' date on them to make sure you get the product at its best. Now my only problem with this was that inevitably little drops of water got mixed in when i was using the product. This resulted in it being quite slimey. Perhaps my fault, but worth considering.
Recommended? The best thing about lush is the assistants. Ask them about your skin type, this product may well match up to your skin type and in that instance it would be a good purchase to consider. It doesn't work miracles, but if you're looking for a luxirious way to cleanse your skin this could be the way to go.
