Advantages: long lasting, easy to use, Disadvantages: a rather dull product, does not block sweat
...like I am always in Lush buying lots of different new products to try but in fact I have only been in four times since the Manchester store opened in September. The second time I was in the store I changed my Lush shopping habits completleny by not buying either a bath bomb, bubble bar slice or slice of soap. Instead I was brave enough to pluck up the courage and buy Aramaco which is the patchouli scented bar in Lush’s innovative range of solid deodorants ... ...flash or funky as other Lush products. In fact it looks rather plain. Perhaps this is why I picked this ugly duckling of the stop smelly armpits world. It is a plain white cuboids with no adornment unlike some of the other deodorants that had bit of lavender and cornflower on top of them. On first sight it is very smooth but on closer examination it has little ridges and flakes. It does not come in a fancy plastic tube that might harm the environment. ...

Advantages: The fragrant, heady, musky scent of patchouli... Disadvantages: Stinks to high heaven of sweaty hippies!
...the delights of the online Lush catalogue – For, as you may have noticed, I have been unfaithful to Avon of late! – my nostrils were wafted back to those hazy student days and the word ‘patchouli’ popped out of the screen in a haze of nostalgia. It was only a matter of time.
I hadn’t tried a Lush deodorant before. I hadn’t tried a solid deodorant bar before either, so I ordered a bar of Aromaco (that’s how ... ...get from sprays, ouch!
Lush don’t do anti-perspirants, with sweating being a good and natural thing to do – it’s just the whiffy bit we want to avoid! So this contains essential oils to make you smell nice and bicarbonate of soda to “neutralise those nasty niffs.” (Copyright – some advert or other…)
This one contains with hazel, chamomile vinegar and that all important patchouli oil. I’m not sure ...

Advantages: : Easy to apply, subtle fragrence, can be used afer shaveing with no stinging Disadvantages: Its expensive, but otherwise this is a top prduct
I love Lush soap and reccently I have been exploreing the world of Lush and trying out non soap products, one such product is the Aromaco deodorant.
I have a nice little 20g piece of Aromaco which I got in a Lush sample pack, to stop it from drying out I keep it in a little zip lock bag in my dressing table as it is a moist bar rather than most deodorants which are liquid in a bottle.
Aromaco comes in blocks like the Lush soaps and is cut to size ... ...Aromaco as advertised on the Lush website are - Fresh Witch Hazel Infusion (Hamamelis virginiana) Propylene Glycol Sodium Stearate Chamomile Vinegar (Anthemis nobilis) Sodium Bicarbonate Patchouli Oil (Pogostemon cablin) Citral Limonene Perfume As you can see this deodorant contains Patchouli and according to Lush this is cooling and soothing , which I think is why the Aromaco deodorant is so effective. Lush have a habit of putting strange facts ...

Advantages: Nice smell, lasts a long time, good value, natural Disadvantages: may irritate some peoples skin
Having shopped in lush for a number of years now, I consider myself a true lushaholic. From top to toe I love to use lush products because they are natural, reduce packaging (thus helping the environment) and smell heavenly! Aromaco deodorant is no exception, and not only is it highly effective I also find it a beautiful smell as well! As many items in lush are, Aromaco is produced in large blocks, sent to the stores and then cut up into pieces. ... ...for vegetarians and vegans, no lush products are tested on animals and it comes wrapped in greaseproof paper to save on waste packaging. I keep it in the paper and it does fine, but some people prefer to keep it in a plastic box to keep it fresher for longer. If you find your deodorant is drying out, simply scrape one edge with a knife and it will be revived!

I bought this product a long while ago. I do like Lush's toiletries in general though, but I think that this item is a bit of a mistake. It's a wonderful idea, don't get me wrong. As is the case with most of their range, there is minimum packaging, and since it is a "stand alone" product, there is no space wasted in your bathroom etc. It uses totally natural ingredients to deodorise your body.
It doesn't look all that great (it is a little block ... ...it 2 or 3 times, but just couldn't get used to the "aroma". It is a sort of sour-spice smell. Impossible to explain.
Since the product has no container you have to figure out where to store it. In my home at least, wherever I kept it it went all condensationy and sweaty on the surface, which made it difficult to pick up and use, and your hands get covered in the unpleasant scent of the stuff too!
I didn't find that it was an effective product, ...

INTRODUCTION
You can tell from my previous music reviews that I am a big champion of late 80s/early to mid 90s Indie. And continuing on this theme, here I look at one time Indie darlings Lush. I became familiar with Lush in my first year as a student, more
I have a bit of a strange relationship with Lush bath bombs – certainly not the full-on adoration enjoyed by some of my fellow Ciaoers, but they have been part of my life for a long time, since Lush first split off from Cosmetics-to-Go and opened... more
