After reading several ops about Lush I decided i needed a treat and because my nearest store is in Cambridge (hour and a half drive away) I decided to order online. This was very easy and about a week later my box of goodies arrived, one of which was the Fairy Jasmine bath ballistic.

Users of Lush's products will know what a bath ballistic is but for those of you who have not had the pleasure they are about the size of a cricket ball, with various smells and additions, such as petals or flower heads, and when they are put in a pre-run bath they fizz around like a giant alka seltzer.

The Fairy Jasmine variety of the bath ballistic (there are 16 other varieties) is, not surprisingly, scented with jasmine but also contains ylang ylang and vetiver. The fairy element is lots of irridescent purple glittery bits contained within the ballistic which are released when it is fizzing around the bath and then float on the top clinging to the bather when she/he steps out of the bath.

I bought this particuler ballistic for my eldest daughter who was going for a day out to the cinema followed by a meal with her frinds for a birthday treat, so the Fairy Jasmine was duly dropped in the bath this morning. It fizzed as promised and spread glitter on the surface of the bath as promised and it smelled absolutley gorgeous! Exit from the bath two (my youngest daughter got in too) glittery, jasmine scented little girls who thought this particular bath ballistic was brilliant as they had glitter everywhere including in their hair.

As the product information says this is not a product to use if you have to be serious and not go to work with glittery hair and at £1.95 they are not exactly cheap but for a special day or night out or if you (or in my case my girls) deserve a treat it is a lovely product which will aslo leave you (and your bathroom) smelling devine.
