Full review
Lush, for the uninitiated, is a fabulously indulgent smelling shop, which sells only natural handmade products for bath, body and hair - both for men and women. THEY ARE COMPLETELY AGAINST ANIMAL TESTING so are very good people.

They are also on line, and I now purchase most of my Lush products on line as they carry the full range, which shops are quite simply unable to do - well the two near me anyway!!

Buffy the Backside Slayer is rumoured to be one of Lush's best selling products, and having used this now, I can see and understand why!

The ingredients are as follows:-

• Cocoa Butter,
• Shea Butter,
• Ground Rice,
• Ground Almonds,
• Ground Aduki Beans,
• Perfume, Lavender Oil, Lemon Oil, Citral, Limonene, Linalool.

It is a strange looking square solid bar, made up of solid cocoa shea and ground (roughly) almonds, rice & beans with added oil. And it smells of biscuits, not nuts or that sweet smell that coca butter can sometimes smell like, but biscuits, and I have never been able to distinguish which style of biscuit either! Most definitely not rich tea -the smell has an aroma of a mixed biscuit, not a plain one.

This can be an advantage or a disadvantage, depending on your mood. After a few uses, the smell really grew on me, and it is now one of my most favourite bathing smells. It is not overpowering and lingers all day but subtly.

The description of 'backside slayer' is very true for this magic in a bar. If you have cellulite on your bum, legs, thighs, underarms, then this is for you.

Advantages are:-

• Reduces cellulite, rough/dry patches and skin bumps
• Moisturises through use of oils
• Pleasant smell
• Good grip size bar
• All natural products not tested on animals

The gentle yet noticeable rough texture of this body butter will massage away those troublesome areas with regular use, leaving your skin soft, smooth and supple.

I use it under the shower, after washing - if you use it before you wash you rinse the oils away, thereby defeating half the reason for using it!! - and whilst it can leave you feeling somewhat oily, the benefits the next day are there.

Your skin is softer and smoother. Rough bumps or dry patches disappear and I have seen a noticeable difference in my cellulite. ( after a few weeks usage - not immediately!!!)

You can buy it from the website in 90g or 200 g bars, but if memory serves me, the shops can cut to what weight you would like.

Personally, 200g is enough of a handful, where you can get just the right amount of 'scrubbing force' behind it to not cause too much pain!!!

I think it lasts quite a while. 200g lasts me approx one month, but I do rub it on then exfoliate with my hand, thus saving the bar somewhat. As I said earlier, I have noticed a reduction in cellulite using the bar this way, so I personally do not feel you have to exfoliate using the bar the whole time. When rubbing it on your skin, the ground up nuts etc are rubbed of onto your skin, so hand or bar, you are still exfoliating with the ground ingredients.

When using it, do not stand under the shower - you need to use it on wet skin, but take your time rubbing it in so your skin can begin to absorb the oils. When you go to rinse off, you should see droplets of water on your skin slide off, and your skin appear oily. If you get this, your are doing it right and the oil has stayed on your skin.

I use this on legs, thighs, bum, underarms and tummy area - well it can't hurt to give a bit of extra help to the tum-tum!

Another big plus is that it moisturizes your skin so well, if you are running short on time, you can get away with not having to slap on the body lotion after. A guilt free showering experience that saves you time as well!

So onto the negatives:-

1. You will smell of biscuit
2. If you use it in the bath you will need to clean said bath tub straight after, thoroughly, as it will leave an oily rim in your tub!!

Seriously buy this product! It starts at £3.95 for 90g so shouldn't break the bank. I love it!
