The following opinion is in response to a cheeky challenge issued by my darling, daring friend Charliechuckle. He has challenged me to write an opinion about deodorant……..but, in the light of my other recent submissions, to make it sexy! I cannot divulge Charlie’s method for judging the success of my opus – it’s far too rude! However, I am sure he will advise me – and you - of the outcome, via the comments or my guest book.

So, the following opinion is a multi-layered effort: it is ajools rising to a challenge; it is a discussion of the erotic and social implications of the female cleansing ritual; it is an examination of the Lush company’s success at tapping into the female psyche; it is a bit of a laugh; and it is an opinion about deodorant. Please, do not be offended, and I’ve tried to make it as useful as possible, whilst retaining the erotic narrative flow. I hope I have succeeded. I promise, the information is there….somewhere!

Come into my deep, dark lair, my dear voyeur, and enjoy………..

Picture the scene if you will. I am getting ready for a very special and sensual evening. My secret lover is coming to visit me. The champagne is on ice. The Jacuzzi is bubbling away out on the terrace. A tasty meal is bubbling away on the stove.

A brown box adorned with the Lush logo is placed lovingly upon the bed, disgorging its fragrant contents onto the red silk sheets. My lovely Lush toiletries are as much a part of my sexy seduction ritual as the frothy tangle of translucent white lacy lingerie which waits to encase a softly perfumed body, or the fine white stockings, like cobwebs with lacy tops, that drape over the back of the chair.

A wisp of steam escapes through the slightly open door of the en-suite bathroom. Inside, in the hot, wet, steamy depths, dozens of candles flicker. Marvin Gaye’s Sexual Healing is playing quietly on the stereo. You catch a glimpse of me through the steam, reclined in the bath, sipping champagne, skin being gently caressed by the lapping milk-white froth of a Lush bubble bath.

Languidly, I sip the straw-coloured wine from a cocktail glass, savouring the icy dryness on my tongue. I spill a drop and it slides slowly down over the curves and valleys of my neck and chest, cresting a breast and slipping softly into the steamy water. The coolness of the wine on heat-flushed skin makes me gasp and the tender skin pucker.

Slowly, I rise from the bath, water cascading away, creamy lather clinging and then sliding downwards. I step out of the tub, feeling relaxed and sexy, stretching like a cat and arching my back in pleasure at the thought of the evening to come. I am very aware of my body now. I am preparing it for his possession, carrying out a ritual of purification intended to send his every sense into overload.

I wrap myself in an enormous, fluffy white towel and head for the bedroom, gently stroking the wetness from heat-flushed skin. The towel drops to the floor and I stand in front of the full-length mirror, and grab the Lush Silky Underwear Dusting Powder. Lavishly, I cover my entire body in the fragrant powder, caressing it into every contour.

I head towards the bed and slip on my white silk panties with the lace trim. Then the white silk and lace camisole, which clings lovingly to my every curve, just covering lush flesh. Finally, I slowly roll the stockings up smooth legs. Mmmmmm, I smell glorious….after all this effort I don’t want to spoil it….better add some anti-perspirant, because I know it is going to be a hot evening, in more ways than one.

I search out my new Lush deodorant bar and recline comfortably on the bed, to glance at the instructions. Lush know what women want. Women want to feel good and smell good, both for themselves and their lover. According to Lush, anti-perspirants are not healthy and sweat is the healthy body’s way of cooling down when things get too hot. Their bars don’t stop you perspiring, but they do keep you smelling fresh and clean.

Hmmmmmmm. There are definitely times when a slippery sheen of sweat is a good and natural thing. It shows that you are working hard, giving your all, putting all your effort into reaching your goal, striving towards the climax of your efforts. Dryness obviously isn’t always a good thing.

I study the bar. It is oval and white, with a slightly powdery surface. It is backed with a layer of black wax so that I can hold it comfortably. It fits neatly into my palm. It smells purely and sharply of lemon – neither masculine nor feminine, just very clean, very fresh.

I grasp it gently but firmly between my thumb and forefinger. It feels hard, but velvety smooth. I rub it gently up and down, massaging the skin. The wonderful clean scent permeates the air. I switch hands and rub some more. It feels good…smooth and dry, not damp and sticky. With all that rubbing it hasn’t got any smaller and it has not gone soft….it should last a good long time.

Lush really do have the right idea with this bar. It is very tactile and pleasant to use and dealing with the practicalities of unwanted odours has not spoiled the sensuality of my hedonistic and sexy preparations. Every part of the ritual should be a pleasurable and sensual experience.

I throw on my negligee and head for the kitchen to check on the meal. The kitchen is hot, but I am confident that my Lush bar will keep me fresh and fragrant. I open the oven and bend over to check the succulent, tender, golden-brown breasts. Chicken. My favourite. And suddenly I am hotter than ever, because he has arrived and is standing behind me, admiring my beautifully displayed soft buns (which I baked especially, earlier that day) and breathing deeply of the aroma of home cooked food and freshly-pampered woman.

I think you should leave now. I have survived the heat of the kitchen and still smell fresh. So the deodorant works well.

Now please, if you wouldn’t mind…….our dinner is ready to serve…… oh yes, the bar weighs 50g and costs just £1.50…..this is the way out….oh, where do you get it? Lush shops, or the website at www.lush.co.uk, you can get information about the website and ease of ordering, etc from my other opinions….so kind of you to drop by……….yes, it only took three days to arrive, so the delivery is excellent……yes, delivery costs £2.95….here, let me help you with your coat……yes, you should be careful if you have sensitive skin as this bar contains high concentrations of essential oils which could irritate if you are delicate…..thanks for your interest…now I really have to go…….goodbye! Coming darling………………………..!!!!!!
