Porridge soap is a soap that I'd previously smelt in the Lush store and thought... nah don't want it.

However after reading many reviews and watching many videos, plus the fact that sometimes when you're in Lush, the smells are so overpowering that sometimes you don't know what you're smelling anymore. I decided I would give it a go and buy a piece of Porridge.

Now I'm not sure about other stores but the one I go to seems to have two different types of this soap - One with a layer of oats at the top and one with oats all the way through. Having had a very stressful time in the past with a piece of I should coco with coconut all the way through, I decided to buy the one with just a layer of oats at the top.

The smell of this when I got it home was lovely, I almost kicked myself for not buying it sooner! It does smell of porridge, but a way sweeter version of porridge with a subtle hint of orange oil to it. Its so yummy I wish I could eat it!

This soap lathers up very nicely and its even better when I use my loofah, it feels very moisturising on my skin and Lush say it is very good if you have sensitive skin. I really wish the smell would last all day on me but for now ill have to make do with the two hours or so that it lasts for.

The only problem I had with this soap is that I was so excited when I got it that I jumped straight in the shower with it right away and it melted quite a bit because it was such a fresh, soft piece id bought. So id recommend letting this one cure for a week or two in your fridge to let it harden and last longer (That's if you have the patience and will-power of course lol)

So id definitely recommend this soap to everyone, but get one with the oats at the top.
