When it comes to Lush products Ill try anything once - if it turns out to be rubbish I wont bother buying it again but more often that not I love the products so I end up going back time and again to try more. Soaps are one of the few things from Lush that I think I can safely say I have tried most of now and Im always amazed when I find a bar that I havent heard of before which is what happend a few weeks back with quite a few bars when I was browsing their website. One of the bars that caught my eye was this 'Lush Porridge Soap' which looked like such a weird idea but at the same time I couldnt believe no-one had thought of it before so a bar went zooming off to my basket and along with a few others it arrived a few weeks back - this one was the first one I tried and I think it will be one I buy time and time again.
Useful Information:As with all Lush soaps dont start to worry if your bar doesnt look exactly the same as the picture with this review. As all bars are cut from a huge block in store all will slightly vary in shape, size and colour but hopefully every single piece should have the same effects. The bar I personally have is a light beige in colour and you can clearly see pieces of the porridge embedded in the block and on the outside - it does appear to be a very scrubby bar. Looks wise I would say this would be perfect for both sexes - it might not be a bright colour that would attract many peoples attention but its pretty striking nonetheless.
When it came to using this soap I have to say I was quite surprised. I was expecting it to lather up into bubbles as a normal soap would but this one has a real difference. As soon as this bar comes into contact with warm water it creates this really milky kind of lather - that is more creamy than bubbly - which I think is something to do with the oats added to the bar and that milky substance is so creamy and thick it really does do wonders for my skin. Even though the lather isnt amazing a small amount seems to wash my whole body with ease and makes my skin feel amazing afterwards and while Im washing with this. The scrubbiness is a nice added touch and while Im not going to claim it is better than using an exfoliator it does a pretty effective job either way and my skin always feels so much better after using this. Now the smell of this one I think will have most people divided. I expected this to smell oaty but it actually smells like orange juice! This is the perfect breakfast time soap - definitely one for using in the morning - the citrus scent wakes me right up and its like having a freshly squeezed glass of orange juice in the morning - LOVELY! The smell lasts ages on my skin and lingers for ages after Ive dried off and carried on with my day - I dont even feel the need to apply lotion after using this soap so it is perfect for me. The best exfoliating Lush soap Ive found since 'I Should CoCo' and that is a lot to live up to. I cannot recommend this highly enough one of the best Lush soaps Ive tried - dont think many could top this.
Thanks For Reading.

Maybe someone should start making foods that look like soap products... :)

I keep reading reviews of Lush products. One of these days I'm going to give a few a try. This one sounds really appealing to me.
