Sorry guys but I couldn't resist telling you all just how great I smell today :)
Its true! I used some of this first thing this morning and I just can't stop smelling myself... was a bit awkward when driving to work but hey ho, I'll still smell great.

I'm not usually a big fan of talc, or 'dusting powder' as its known in some circles.. in fact I think it reminds me of old ladies at swimming pools more than anything else. But this was a pressie so I had to try it out... after all it would be rude to refuse!

So, after a minor tussle with opening the container (more about that later) I eventually managed to get some on me rather than the floor and boy o boy was it good... believe me, this is not the same talc worn by old ladies, this is pure luxury!
Maybe my memory is playing tricks but when I was forced to wear talc as a kiddie it was some chokingly sickly white powder that got just about everywhere and did just about nothing. This stuff is not in the same league...
Right, down to the nitty gritty....

*WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE?
The nice people at Lush werent lying when they said it would feel like silk!
The powder itself is an off white colour and contains teeny pieces of cocoa butter which melt into your skin when you rub the powder on. This gives a smooth silky finish to your skin and moisturises at the same time - what more could you want!
The bonus is that the powder actually stays on your skin and is absorbed really quickly so even if you are in a hurry (like me!) this can be used just before getting dressed.

Oh, and did I mention that it smells good? *Sniff*, yep, still smells good. The lovely people at Lush have added Vetivert and Jasmine to stop this talc smelling of old ladies! It isnt overpowering or too girly (I'm not known for being a girlie girl) but the smell does stay on your skin all day to give you a sensual but clean smell... if that makes any sense!

*WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
Well to be honest this is the only thing I dont like, the packaging. The talc comes in a 100g pot, as pictured, but with a bit of a tacky design, bright red and yellow, not really what you might associate with 'Silky Underwear' and certainly not pride of place on my bathroom shelf.

It isnt easy to open either, not to start with anyway. You have to press a section of the top inwards.. which involves nearly breaking your thumb in the process and sending clouds of the stuff into your face. At least it does if you are me first thing in the morning.
Once opened you can turn the plastic lid around to three different settings, closed, fully open or open with holes. I recommend the holes option to stop too much of the stuff coming out all at once but if you arent as clumsy as me, or feel like living on the edge, you could go for fully open!

*WHATS IN IT?
For all you budding scientists out there, these are the ingredients:
Cornstarch, Kaolin, Cocoa Butter, Perfume, Jasmine Absolute, Vetivert Oil

*HOW MUCH?
This is the crunch... the 100g pot costs £3.95! Not the usual price to pay for some talc, sorry, dusting powder. But on the upside, it is cheaper than silk underwear and since you can use this instead its a bit of a bargain!

*THE VERDICT
Despite the cost this is fantastic, it works on all types of skin, even sensitive souls like me and smoothes in to leave a silky sensual sheen. AND it smells good... i'm happy for the rest of the day just sitting here smelling my skin :)
