Advantages: Smell, Smoothes Skin, Generally Amazing!
Disadvantages: Only Available At Christmas! x

...and I am using up Lush special edition Christmas products like there is no tomorrow. I swear, without Christmas at Lush my Christmas just wouldn’t be complete. Christmas at Lush and listening to the Tweenies Christmas Album (the best Christmas album ever, it is a family tradition to over-play Milo, Jake, Fizz and Bella squeaking along to Christmas classics over every festive tradition. ...year without fail and if Lush ever discontinue it they would have many angry customers to deal with. Snow Fairy is known for its pinkness, sweetness and girliness and me and my friends have to stock up with many of the large bottles to enable it to last all year round. I am literally on my last little drop of it now, and it is treasured, so I need to head off to my local Lush to get some more! Snow Fairy has been around for years, and I predict it ... more

Does it smell good?

Value for money

Skin kissed by the Snow Fairy

Advantages: Smells amazing, soft skin
Disadvantages: Smell doesn't linger on the skin, only available at Christmas

...bottle from someone on the Lush forum. As it is a Christmas product, I have waited until now to review it, as the Lush Christmas products have now gone on sale, and I didn't see the point in reviewing it, if it wasn't possible for people to actually go out and buy it. At the time of writing this, the Christmas products are in the shops but not actually online yet, but should be within the next week, I believe. The shower gel comes in a clear plastic ...
...Like most of the Lush products, the packaging is very simple, as Lush prefer to spend money on the ingredients in the product, rather than the packaging it comes in. The main problem I have found with the bottle - and this goes for all other Lush shower gels in the 100g size - is that the bottle is really tough plastic, and its quite hard to squeeze. This means that sometimes you end up using more than you intended as squeezing the bottle so hard, ...

Review of Lush Snow Fairy

**Bewitched by a pink fairy **

Advantages: Smell, colour
Disadvantages: In shops only temporarily

...snow).Well, I went to a Lush shop and really wanted to buy it BUT strangely enough, at the time I found that it wasn't that natural. It didn't fit in with the idea I had of Lush. When I had a look at the list of ingredients in the Lush Times, I saw mostly black words (which aren't as natural as green ones). So, even if I did like the smell I didn't buy it. [I'd like to underline the fact that I'm not buying Lush products only because they are natural ...
...I've already been disppointed by Lush sevreal times but I'll tell you more in future reviews.] The fact that it's Lush which has this product in its range helped, though, because I keep in touch with the new arrivals of products. If it had been another brand, I might have forgotten all about it! (apart from the Body Shop, whose products are on the whole good to me) Time flew and this year, I got interested in it once again. I was convinced by a ...

Makes you smell Sweet :)

Advantages: Easy to use, lovely smell
Disadvantages: Available for a limited time only

...a huge fan of the Lush shop and love most of its products and love trying out new products on the market as soon as they are available. Snow Fairy is one of my top 5 products and also my daughters favourite, i had to buy a bottle for her and stick her name on it. The Down side to this product is its on available seasonal i.e Christmas and very hard to get the rest of the year unless you check out eBay but sellers are well over priced and i would ...
...daughters 9 and really into Lush and this is her No1 favourite. What does it smell like? The Smell of the gel is very strong and can make your bath room and you smell good enough to eat, Why you may say? It smells of Candy with a sweet sugary smell, its similar to candy floss or Seaside rock but if you ask different people about what this product smells like they say bubble gum but i am not 100% sure and personally feel it smells of Seaside rock. ...

Concentrated liquid fairy

Advantages: Glorious sweetie scent!
Disadvantages: Sickly sweet sweetie scent?

...found the Snow Fairy rather lush (pardon the pun) in a slightly indulgent and completely girlie way that really lifted my spirits of a morning. Of course, scent is all for naught if the product doesn't work - luckily, this is as good a shower gel as any from Radox or Palmolive ;) I particularly like the thick, creamy but slightly gel-like consistency, and the fact that a small blob foams up hugely on a shower puff! It cleans well, and left my skin ...
...course, it's still a 'natural' Lush product (and heck, you're still paying for that!) but it feels like a slight cheat, almost. Overall, this is a nice little shower gel, which is to be judged on whether or not you can stand the scent: is it sickly or a sugar-rush high? Me? I'll be buying a BIG bottle to see me through to next Christmas! :) ~Boring bits~ Prices: £2.95 for 100g - the size I got, and you need relatively little per use, so it lasts ...

Be warned! You'll want to eat it.

Advantages: The smell, makes your hair and skin so soft, price, colour
Disadvantages: It's only available at christmas time

The Company Lush specialise in fresh handmade cosmetics and try to use only natural ingredients in their products. They also try to use as little packaging as possible and ensure that any packaging they do use is recyclable. Overall a very ethical company. You can purchase directly from a store, online, by phone or by fax. When purchasing in a shop you will obviously have the advantage or seeing and smelling the products before you purchase. You ...
...disposal. I have always found Lush staff to be incredibly helpful and very clued up on all of the products. By buying instore you will also avoid delivery costs which can be quite expensive. Delivery can also be very slow. When buying in store, you will receive your order in a recyclable paper bag. If you order online, you will receive your order packaged in a cardboard box, usually wrapped in lovely, retro looking Lush paper. The box will be filled ...

A (Snow) Fairy Godmother

Advantages: smells lovely, non-drying
Disadvantages: can stain sink/soapdish red

I love Lush?s Snow Fairy shower gel, but it only comes out at Christmas. Thankfully, last year, Lush developed The Godmother, a soap which carries the same scent as Snow Fairy. I have been using this in my bathroom as a hand soap for a couple of weeks now and thought I?d share my experiences. The soap is a dark purple/red colour, and feels quite solid and a little waxy, whereas some of the Lush soaps can be quite soft and squishy. Personally I find that to be a positive thing as the more solid soaps don?t seem to wear down as quickly as the softer ones. I did find that this left a reddish stain on the side of my sink, so that?s something to bear in mind. The smell, like I said, is the same as Lush?s Christmas shower gel, Snow Fairy. If you haven?t been lucky enough to try it, then I suppose the best way to describe it would be ...

Review of Lush Godmother Soap Bar

Fizz, crackle ......and wheres the pop??

Advantages: Not as expensive as the other ballistics
Disadvantages: Where to begin...

Having just spent a good portion of my student loan in Lush this afternoon my next few reviews are going to be based on my daily baths...tonight was the debut of Cinders. I usually go for pink candy scented lush products such as snow fairy, marshmellow met etc but due to Cinders being promoted as popping candy for your bath I was sold on a gimmick....yes I am gullable. The first thing that struck me was how small in comparrison to the other ballistics this was, this was reflected in the price though, £1.95 seems like a bargain compared to the average £3 mark. Its described as being a spicy, soda scented Ballistic that crackles like a roaring fire. So I popped it into my bath and waited for the magic to happen....and waited .....and waited. I have to say I was dissapointed, I heard no crackle or pop just the usual hiss ...

Review of Lush Cinders Bath Ballistic

A very average Lush shower gel

Advantages: smells OK, lathers well, gets skin clean
Disadvantages: nothing special about it, a little pricier than others

I tend to have a few bottles of shower gel on the go at once - one to suit every mood! I noticed that a lot of my Lush shower gels are approaching their use-by dates, and as such have been using them regularly over the past few weeks to make sure I use them up on time! Having got to the end of all of the others, I was left with half a bottle of The Olive Branch. When it came to picking a shower gel, nine times out of ten The Olive Branch would be near the bottom of the list. I don't know what it is about this product, because it's nice enough - as I will describe if you read on - but I suppose it just lacks the 'wow factor' I've had from some of the other Lush shower gels I've used, such as Slammer and Snow Fairy. The Olive Branch comes in the same packaging as the other Lush shower gels (apart from the name on the label ...
