Advantages smells gorgeous, not too overly priced

Disadvantages Just around at Christmas!

Review summary
This is a gorgeous sweet scented product which is suitable for hair and body. It is just a shame it is a seasonal product!

It must have been around Christmas 2010 when I first saw snow fairy in lush as thinking back it was that year I really started treating myself to lush goodies. There was something about snow fairy that really stood out to me despite me not smelling it or anything and so I asked for some as a present this Christmas.

Snow fairy is a seasonal product which is released at lush during the festive period. The product is a shower gel which can be used for body and hair. Lush describe the product as a “fabulously fruity, candy floss pink and sweet as sugar shower gel. To smell good enough to eat this Christmas wash your hair and body with this sparkling seasonal must have” The product comes in a plastic bottle which has a black lush label and a little sticker saying who made your product and when it was made as well as when it should be used by which I think is a nice quirky little touch.

Through the bottle you can see the sparkly pink shower gel which I just think is so gorgeous and girly! It is not just the appearance though that makes this product as the scent is just incredible! Lush describe it as sweet as sugar and I do agree as I think it smells just like candy and is so sweet. It smells girly and evokes a playfulness in me which I really like. As I use this product I smile as it makes me feel refreshed, sweet and girly which is something that I really like and can only be a good thing as far as I am concerned!

The bottle states that you can use the product on your body and hair and whilst I was more than happy to use it on my body I did feel slightly wary about using it on my hair as my hair is a bit thick and wild and often reacts badly to shampoos. Despite this I did give it a go and I found that the sweet scent was really lovely as I lathered it on my hair. I did shampoo my hair twice immediately after each other which is something my hairdresser recommends and I found that this produced great results and gave my hair a lovely shine.

The scent remains on my hair and skin but it is only very faint and that is my only issue as I would love for it to be stronger as it really is lovely. Skin fairy really does make my skin feel nice and smooth after use though and I have a slight sparkle to my skin too as a result of the shimmering glitter in the product.

A 100g bottle of snow fairy cost just short of three pounds I believe and I would certainly recommend it for yourself or as a gift next Christmas!

Thank you for reading my review!
