Lush are a well known company who make fresh handmade cosmetics using only natural ingredients and none of their products are tested on animals. Their products can be slightly pricey, how-ever they are of good quality and they do produce fantastic results. ***LUSH SUGAR SCRUB***
This Sugar Scrub from Lush is made from exactly what you think . . . sugar! The scrub stimulates circulation which helps tackle cellulite and the calming lavender encourages healthy skin. The scrub also contains Fennel Oil which helps stimulates the circulation. The powdered ginger also helps to stimulate circulation and also warms the skin. All these natural ingredients help to create a perfect sugar scrub to keep you skin looking healthy and glowing. The product is also made with fair-trade Sugar. The Sugar Scrub is green in colour and is a circular shape but with a flat bottom to it, to make it easy to hold and use when in the shower. The Scrub is a pale green colour and has a slight smell to it which smells slightly of ginger, but this isn’t unpleasant or over-powering and is quite bearable. ***WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO EXFOLIATE THE SKIN?***
Just like snakes shedding skin around every 25 days human’s shed their skin cells, which makes room for new skin cells, ready to take their place. Exfoliating your skin removes these dead skin cells which can often cause dull looking skin, black-heads, rough texture and uneven appearance. If you exfoliate the skin this also helps moisturisers and other body products to work more effectively. Exfoliating is also good for circulation and can help reduce the appearance of cellulite and the orange peels look which can occur in woman on the thigh’s and stomach.

***USING THE PRODUCT***
It’s best to break this product into 4 separate pieces as this dissolves very quickly and you don’t want to use it all in one go. I don’t have a shower so have to use this product when I’m in the bath and I do this by standing up and then rubbing the scrub over my body, paying particular attention to my knees, elbows and thighs. I don’t feel as though I need to apply this anywhere else apart from my problem areas. I use the scrub on my knees and elbows as they sometimes get dry and I use it on my thigh’s to help reduce the appearance of cellulite and to help tone them up. Be careful not to put this scrub into too much contact with water when you use it as it does dissolve very quickly. The scrub is easy to hold and apply and is quite rough and scratchy on your skin, so I wouldn’t advise people with sensitive skin to use this product. There is a slight smell to the product but I can’t really determine what it smells like. After using the scrub I simply rinsed/washed it off.

***RESULTS***
When I got out the bath I did notice that my legs and the areas where I used the scrub were slightly red so I would advise you to try this product first before using it when preparing for a night out on the town. The redness did disappear quickly and I used some moisturiser afterwards to make my skin super smooth and soft. I definitely noticed a difference as my skin felt softer and smoother compared to other scrubs I have used. My knees definitely didn’t feel as rough and I was so pleased that this scrub had done a great job of making them look and feel much smoother than they were before.

***OVERALL OPINION***
This is a fantastic body scrub from Lush that does a great job of exfoliating and getting rid of dead skin cells to make skin smoother and softer. You will need a tub or little box to store the rest of the product in as if it gets wet it will disappear very quickly. The scrub does feel rough and scratchy which some people might not like. If you have sensitive skin I would not recommend using this product but I’m sure Lush has other products they can recommend if you do suffer from sensitive skin. I will be using this scrub again and highly recommend it to others as well.
