Advantages: smells divine, natural ingredients, leaves your skin soft Disadvantages: not gentle enough for post-shaving
...they had on offer. Lush sell three different lotions – Dream Cream, Potion, and Sympathy For The Skin. After much deliberation I decided to go with Sympathy.
This product comes in a plastic tub (shaped like the ones you get more expensive ice-cream in) rather than in a bottle. This has two advantages as far as I’m concerned: 1) you can take remove just the amount you want on your finger, without having to risk half the bottle squirting ... ...Skin is available at all Lush shops and through their online and mail order services. It costs £6.45 for a 240g pot, which might not be cheap but is pretty good value considering the number of natural ingredients in it. Lush and their suppliers do not test on animals and this product is suitable for both vegetarians and vegans. ...

Advantages: Smells wonderful, really lasting moisturisation Disadvantages: More expensive than some (but worth it!)
...a bit overboard in the Lush shop!) and never really used. Well now was its moment of glory.
I won't need to describe the packaging to anyone who is familiar with Lush products, but basically it is their usual plain black plastic pot with a press on plastic lid. I really liked the fact it was in a pot, as there was no fear of squirting too much out, as with a bottle The writing is in white and tells you when the product was made and who made it (in ... ...use many preservatives. Most Lush products are packaged in this way. I won't go into the whys and wherefores of the Lush brand for now, but I intend to do another review on that later on. On the top of the pot, all the ingredients are listed and this certainly seems to have all sorts of appetising things in it, including vanilla pod infusion, almond oil, cocoa butter, fresh bananas(!!!) and sandlewood and lime oils. Aaaaanyway. The stuff! On removing ...

Advantages: Gorgeous smell, lovely feel Disadvantages: A tad expensive, but worth it in my opinion
...million and 1 in the Lush product range and today’s competitor is Sympathy for the Skin, a moisturising cream for all over your bod! (Er, does anyone think I should go cold turkey and try not to use Lush for a bit?)
Sympathy for the Skin comes in a 250g screw-top tub, and costs £6.45. Following is the description of the contents, but first be warned, Lush followers and interns!! This is the part that had me scribbling my details feverishly ... ...Lemon Oil. The description Lush gives it includes the sentence ‘it’s all you can do to restrain yourself from putting a spoon in it and scoffing the lot’. Do not take this warning lightly, people, they mean it! When I opened my tub of Sympathy for the Skin and inhaled my first scent, this was all I wanted to do. Eat it all. But don’t! Instead I slapped some on my arms and massaged it in. I smelt good enough to eat, which is ...

Lush has got to be one of my fave shops, you can smell the products as you walk down the high street and they all smell good enough to eat.
Another good thing about lush is that they use natural ingredients, which is far much better than these synthetic products and lush don't test their products on animals either, which is another good reason to shop there.
I've tried most of the products they sell and one of my fave body lotions is sympathy for ... ...and the green and yellow lush logo, which is very trendy looking and more eye-catching than your normal lotions in the supermarkets.
On the tub there is 2 labels, one tells you the ingredients and the other one tells you about the lotion. There is also a sticker on the side with a drawing of the person who made the cream and the use by date, which I think, is very important because of the natural ingredients. The list of ingredients is on the lid ...

Advantages: Leaves skin feeling smooth and soft Disadvantages: A bit on the expensive side
...you cry, not yet another lush product fan. well I'm afraid so, I have been using lush products for a while now and even though they are very good and I like to pamper myself, I do buy other bodycare products too, but for now I'll chat about Sympathy for the Skin. This is a tonic for skin a rich and creamy body cream, which will leave your skin feeling nice and soft and smooth. It comes in a 240gram tub for 6.75p a bit steep in price, but if you've ... ...make a difference believe me. You can buy this from any Lush shop or you can order it on-line at www.lush.co.uk where you can browse around at the other many tempting products.
All these products are not tested on animals and contain natural ingredients. Have fun. ...

Advantages: The smell!! the sparkly bits!! Disadvantages: You'll either love the smell or hate it, terrible packaging
...I've got rather fond of Lush products recently. After my positive experience with "Sympathy for the Skin" body lotion (see op) I fancied treating myself to something else. So, a couple of weeks ago, whilst in Norwich I popped into my local Lush shop for a browse. You can't fail to find the place really, as you can smell it from yards away!
I'm sure most of you already know, but Lush is a chain of small shops that sell really funky hand made bath/body products with an emphasis on natural ingredients. Some of the stuff is a little "odd" to say the least, but I've not been disappointed with anything I've bought so far. I really MUST get around to writing an opinion on Lush in general...eventually!
Anyway, I had a good mooch around the shop, chatted to one of the assistants (they're so helpful) about some conditioner I was going...

Advantages: feels great Disadvantages: may not be moisturising enough for some
...I bought this to give as a present but I just couldn’t resist using it myself. It comes in a lovely black bottle that is not too cheap or expensive looking. It costs £5.75 for 250g, (about 250ml). Commendably Lush only use natural ingredients with the minimum of safe synthetics in their products so they don’t keep as long as other makes. On each bottle is a use by date (Potion lasts 14 months). Another nice feature is all the products are hand made and with the name of the maker on them. It’s nice to know my moisturiser was handmade in Poole by Lyn, it just makes it more personal. Lush products are not suitable for those with nut allergies, but most, including this one are suitable for vegans.
Potion is not designed to be especially moisturising; (you need ‘Sympathy for the Skin’ for that). Despite containing almond oil...

INTRODUCTION
You can tell from my previous music reviews that I am a big champion of late 80s/early to mid 90s Indie. And continuing on this theme, here I look at one time Indie darlings Lush. I became familiar with Lush in my first year as a student, more
I have a bit of a strange relationship with Lush bath bombs – certainly not the full-on adoration enjoyed by some of my fellow Ciaoers, but they have been part of my life for a long time, since Lush first split off from Cosmetics-to-Go and opened... more
Minty, refreshed and silky smooth.....exactly how I feel after using Clinique's 'sparkle skin' Body Exfoliating Cream.
I own various different body exfoliants, salt rubs, exfoliating scrubs, and various different body buffing accessories, but nothing more
