Box does look cheap, but it was quiet when in use, with no noise from fans. Also on the plus side, it found channels no problem, was fairly quick and easy to use, and recorded as expected.
Setting ... ...have been. Seems there is no easy to know if the topup tv card activation is successful when doing it on line. Support say no extra programmes appear until a full 48 hours later. Also, for activation to work the box has to be tuned to channel 16 and not 5 as it says in instructions and website!
To take advantage of the free viewing offers you also have to supply credit card details - "to save time if you decide to continue" ... more

Advantages: attractive price, ease of use and facilities up there with sky Disadvantages: none yet
...but got an alternative. The Luxor tutv 2500...
It was easy to set up, gave me trouble free viewing all day and for the money was well worth it. channels that were freezing on my old thomson box worked without fault on this.
All in all if you buy a box at this price, you will get a facility that does what a sky plus box does and also gives you extra channels for a tenner a month. Why pay Murdoch double the money for repeats when you will get a selection ...
