Did you ever have Nitty Nora the nit nurse in your school when you were a kid? I remember it well, lining up, ready for the dreaded woman donned with plastic gloves to go rifling through your hair! Wondering if shes going to send you to the going home room, so that your parents can sort out your infestation, or if you were going to be nit free and manage to escape with just a ruffled barnet! Ok, so its not that bad now in school, but nethertheless, still my son decided to bring home a few unwelcome hair guests today. So i'm going to try out Lyclear Creme Rinse to aliminate the lice! But first heres a few facts about head lice!
1. half a million kids catch head lice every year 2. lice are small insects about 2-3mm long(adult) 3. they go for clean or dirty hair 4. lice are passed from head to head contact. they cant fly, jump or hop 5. the female louse lays up to 8 oval shaped eggs a day,the eggs are called the 'nit',and these take 7 days to hatch so heres how to get rid!
*before using*
1. do not use if you are allergic to permethrin. 2. consult a doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. 3. suitable for adults and children over the age of 6 mnths. 4. if your hair is coloured or permed test a small patch first.
2. Shake bottle well,and apply enough Lyclear to saturate the hair,roots and scalp.Work through the hair, but pay particular attention to behind the ears and the nape of the neck as this is where they are most likely to be.
3. Leave on for 10mins, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. Whilst hair is still wet, use the comb provided to remove dead lice and eggs. Comb the hair from the roots down, all the way around the head.Then dry your hair and style in the normal way.
After using this product we had no side effects, and it cleared all the lice and eggs away very effectively, with not too much mess. If you find lice or eggs,check all family members heads to prevent any reinfection.

I worked as a Special Needs Assistant in Reception class before I had my daughter so had to reach for the biddy buster a few times. I usually use Full Marks mousse but may try this one should I ever need it. Emma :)
Advantages: Wonderfully useful for a child who is embarrassed about having head lice and wonderfully quick for mother to apply! Disadvantages: I think the lice are becoming resistant to this product.
