Advantages: quick to use, smells like aniseed, no chemicals Disadvantages: not effective enough, smell lingers, very few applications per bottle on a 'real' head of hair!!
and which worked perfectly, but i will stick to the longer treatment time lotion, as i just dont think these quicker ones are as effective, especially on the eggs.....i always re-treat a week later, but with the fast acting treatments, i find the lice are back within another week, and i just dont think they work as good as they need to!!
I dont dispute that the lotion kills the lice, i sprayed a live one on a towel, and it was dead quite quickly, but when they are still in the hair, it just isnt effective enough to do the job!!
Also, although it says on the instructions that conditioner will possibly not be required after shampooing thanx to the lotion, i found my hair felt like straw after washing, and i had to condition it, so i dont know where they got that idea from!! ...

Upon using this product on my 6 year old son we followed the instructions provided & it was as simple as that. Other than the aniseed smell which does tend to linger.
Due to me having head contact with my son i thought it would be advisable to treat me at the same time as i had been quite itchy ( not sure if that was just the thought of them or was really headlice)
but treated me all the same.
I didn't think any more about it other than to do a second application in 7 days . but in less than 24 hours i started having very bad ahstma attacks luckly i have a good supply of inhalers, also i experienced very bad headaches (this may have been down to coughing alot) and a feeling of extreme tiredness which really brought me down. these effects lasted for about 2 days until ...
