Why is it that Lynx has become the standard name in Men’s deodorant? Is it the jet black casing? The cool sounding names they give their scents? The name itself perhaps? No, I believe that it’s because the Lynx brand is known for the quality of the product and the lovely fragrances that you can get.
The Lynx sprays are made by Faberge, which also makes a lot of female scents and deodorants. Their name has been made more well known from their many promotions for dance clubs and artists as well as through their gradual takeover of the shop shelves with the newer Lynx products, shaving gel, shower gel, hair gel and others.
Lynx is one of the few deodorants that don’t seem to harsh for my skin, some of the others I have tried give me a rash or give me sore armpits, not nice at all! Many deodorants I have tried do not last throughout the day and although working in an office isn’t the most demanding task, it can get quite hot and sweaty sometimes, so I rely on the deodorant to last. Lynx sprays seem to do the job well, keeping their nice scent throughout the day and stopping me from feeling like a sponge that has just been wrung under a tap.
Now for the Africa Scent. Normally I stick to Lynx Phoenix as I like the smell, but not being one to turn down a new experience, I saw the Africa spray on offer in my local Superdrug store and quickly snapped up a few cans to try out. I trust the name for the reasons I have already mentioned, so it was only the smell of the scent itself that concerned me. Not wanting to waste too much time in the shop, smelling deodorants and getting funny looks (is it only me that gets this?), I just bought this one on faith, besides, I had payed less for it anyway, so I had less to lose.
Now I don’t know how they name their scents, but I assume they have vivid imaginations at Faberge because nearly all the smells from the cans have virtually no link to the name on the can. Africa is no exception, it doesn’t make me think of rainforests or large cites where stopping at traffic lights can get your car stolen either. Still, it is a nice smell and I will try my best to describe it for you.
The aroma that first hits you is rather sweet. It wasn’t exactly what I was expecting, but then you smell it again and it seems to go from a sweet smell to something with hidden spices. Intriguing! Of course, by this time you will also notice the hint of something similar to oranges and a hint of flowers. If all this sounds a bit poncy, I can assure you that when all these aromas are put together you get a very manly smell, so much so that you may find yourself lighting fires and dragging girls back to your cave (ok, so perhaps I exaggerated that last bit…). This adds up to a very pleasant spicy aroma which was appreciated by my wife and therefore a hit in this household.
In conclusion, I will be buying the Africa scent again as it seems to go down well with those who matter most. It has the usual Lynx seal of quality too, so is recommended to anyone that already uses other Lynx deodorants and is thinking of a change. Must be the Lynx affect, I suppose!
Advantages: Smells Nice, Value For Money Disadvantages: Very Few
...that their range of Men's Lynx Deodorant Sprays were on a buy one get one free offer at £1.49 each, yes that's just 74.5p each so I put a couple of Cans into my basket.
There are six different varieties of this range of Deodorant available (Africa, Voodoo, Apollo, Inca, Atlantis & Phoenix) and I have tried most of them at some time or another, but since there had obviously been a run on this offer the only variety available this time was the Africa ... ...trust the Lynx range and I have progressed from receiving it as a Christmas Gift from my Auntie to actually going out and buying it for myself. Lynx Africa is made by Faberge which these days is pretty much a household name, making many different Scents and Perfumes for both men and women.
The Deodorant is packaged within a rather attractive looking black container with a tapered top. The Deodorant Spray is released from the Can via a lever switch ...

Advantages: Its TOO attractive Disadvantages: It pulls the wrong birds sometimes!
Lynx have made many amazing products, they’ve never failed us men. I can’t think of one product made to the standard of Jordan- Fake, Unreal, and not satisfying, I guess it’s just Jordan who holds those fine quality's!
Lynx deodorant seems to go further though. For instance, I wake up, look in the mirror and see me, I spray some of this and look in the mirror again to find Em standing behind me with her arms around me leaning her ... ...is because the smell of Lynx is so good. They do many different types:
INCA
GRAVITY
PHOENIX
AFRICA
VOODOO
ATLANTIS
My favourites are Voodoo and Africa. Voodoo’s the one you put when your off on the town for the night, clubbing, dancing and going mad.
Africa’s more for spending time with your partner, hopefully, a girl. Wear this when your with her or when your about to make passionate body kissing lurve!
This opinion would be ...

...and I have found that Lynx Body spray is one of the best around. My husband has been using it for some time now and has tried all the different fragrances.
For those of you that don’t know Faberge makes it, they have been around for some time. Another reason for choosing Lynx for your man is that there are other products like shaving gel, shampoo & hair gels that smell fabulous, that work well with deodorant. There are six fragrances to choose ... ...I personally think that the Lynx range of fragrances are more sensual than some of these really expensive after-shaves on the market today and a lot of them just haven’t got the lasting, lingering fragrance. Why pay out all that money, when Lynx could save you pounds.
So ladies go and buy some for your fella, as I am sure one of the fragrances will have an effect on you and might even bring out the animal in you. Fellas what are you waiting ...

Advantages: smells nice Disadvantages: Doesnt work
...At my "learning Enviroment" Lynx is essentially the only thing going round. No one judges it on how it works or it's price. It's the brand and the smell. As I was saying, when we do Sports, you only have to open the door and you can smell the deodrant from a mile away. It's a wonder we aren't all dead from the amount of toxic gas we inhale from Lynx on it's own. In the changing rooms you can just stand there and be covered in the stuff, and I'm guessing ... ...uncool. Lynx is, in my opinion overly commercialised and there are at least 10 different flavours. Not only that they have shower gels and fragrances etc. The most popular seems to me, to be Lynx Africa. If you can imagine what Africa might smell like, it smells like that. I suppose it comes from this general idea of like wildness, I honestly don't know how to describe it, other than fairly manly, kind of tribal. To be fair, Lynx does smell nice, ...

Advantages: Stops Men Smelling of BO Disadvantages: Hides Natural Pheromones
I like Pheromones!!!!! There is nothing like being with someone you really fancy and having a mutual throwing of pheromones at each other experience. One of the best smells in the world is your partners pheromones, especially if you unexpectedly pick up on them as she is standing next to you in a pub or club, "Yes my dear I think it is time to make our excuses and leave, heh heh heh" followed by “Fairwell those who are not getting lucky tonight, ... ...do, and no you can’t watch you mucky B*****s”(1).
Having said all that there is nothing worse than the smell of stale sweat, this I have heard turns on some people, but I am one of the many that don't.
Now I cycle to work every day, and considering the weather we have had in this fair city of late if I did not use this after arriving at work I'd pong something awful.
OK on to the body spray the can says:-
“Lynx Deodorant Bodyspray has a unique ...

Reviews which might be of interest for "Lynx Africa"
Advantages: Great scent, good bottle for use in the shower, great price, frequently on offer. Disadvantages: None.
LynxAfrica Shower gel is designed for men and my review is purely based on using some of my other half's products that I stay over at his house last minute and don't have many toiletries with me!
The bottle is black plastic with a flip top lid and have the lynxAfrica label on it and all of the Lynx labels have different statements these days which are short and sweet and basically designed for men so they might say "scrub yourself after a dirty night out" or something similar and they always make me smile when I read them. The bottle is very easy to open, even in the shower & a light squeeze will decant a little amount of shower gel and I choose to put mine straight on to a bath puff and give it a little squeeze. Africa creates a fantastic amount of lather and it has a gorgeous, masculine scent to it, there is definitely nothing ...
Advantages: A decent roll-on... Disadvantages: ...not much else!
Having recently been to Reading Festival, many of you would be intrigued to know they had a blanket ban on aerosols above 100ml this year, meaning most of us smelly twenty-somethings had to buy a roll-on or pocket-sized spray to prevent the pungent smell of festivals setting in. So, rather than get the ridiculously priced Lynx "Bullet", I went for one of their roll-ons - the Africa brand anti-perspirant to be exact...
The roll-on stands approximately four inches tall, with a silver screw cap which it rests on. The Africa range has green and red 'trim' to it on the front sticker, but other than that it's exclusively black and silver. After unscrewing the cap, it's nothing unusual - the clear roller ball has yet to be touched but by simply pushing it slightly it will start to roll and gather the anti-perspirant from inside the casing ...
Advantages: Smells nice Disadvantages: runs out so you have to buy more
For as long as I can remember I have always used lynx as my deodrant spray(but i do try other brands as well). Ive tried different scents and have found LYNXAFRICA to be my favourite.
The can itself is very comfy to hold and there is a new spray system on it which is a lot better. I think it is to stop young children from spraying it dangerously on themselves. All cans are black apart from the special editions which are silver. There are also the individual colours which each scent has. EG. AFRICA is red and green and ATLANTIS is blue an white
It is very hard to describe the scent but if I was to do a word association with it I would use:
COOL
REFRESHING
GENTLE
POPULAR
SWEET
In my opinion I think it is by far the most popular out of the LYNX range which include other scents such as: APOLLO, VOODOO, PHOENIX, NIRVADA ...
