Question: With all the hype of "The Lynx Effect" why not actually get a woman's opinion on this? Well hey presto your wish is my command and here you go, a verdict on lynx deoderant from someone who's supposed to fall flat at your feet and beg you back to mine the second I get a single whiff of your lynx deoderant. Hhm-mm
Now ive had to consult my friends and brothers on how well lynx works in terms of combatting those sweat pores. But lets be honest, that sometimes just isnt as important as to how good it smells. Everyone knows the way to a girls heart is hygiene and cleanliness, and smell is a BIG part of that.
I'll be honest and just say it right now. Any lynx smell to me immediatly takes me back to the days of secondary school and the boys changing rooms. The floor's covered in muddy puddles, the showers are surely talking because of all the mould and green gunk growing all over them, and the 15-16 year old boys coming back in from a rugby session and rather than showering, quickly do themselves over with a towel and think spraying half a can of lynx all over themselves will mask the smell. *YUCK* Im not the only girl who thinks that. In fact anytime im out with my girlies and one of us smells lynx thats what the conversation will immediately turn to, how gross our male counterparts used to be all those years ago. And how maybe thopse who are the age we were then now might just be the same.
Now i dont know how fashionable lynx is with the younger audiences today, but when I was 14-15, lyns suddenly was seen as a fashion dont as we were then old enough to have something alittle pricier, and something that would hide any unpleasant smells (they're called showers boys-but I can understand how when you're at school you just dont have time to shower before next lesson-silly pe staff). And that view has stuck to my current age now of 20. So if you're over 15 my advice is to stay away from lynx if you're fashion conscious, or just dont use too much-hopefully that way you'll be able to fully appreciate that a flood of deo is just too overpowering and frankly quite a turn off, be it lynx or something else, quite the opposite of "The Lynx Effect."
Staying power in terms of smell I can say is very good. A gain it just takes me back to secondary school where we've had pe just after or before lunch, yet come bus time and the lads still stink of the stuff, mixed with sweat of course because it just wont mask it. Staying power in terms of perspiration its average. If you're at school/office just typing all day that this is fine, be it anything where alittle more acitvity is required like walking to work say (this is what my brother found as a challenge to lynx) then generally lynx isnt the best way to go. Also, the sprays according to my brothers and friends are far superior to the roll ons which take an age to dry but can still feel moise during the day even without any streneous activity. Ive been told the rolls ons can irritate the skin a lot more than the sprays, and irritation occurs when a large amount, be it the roll on or the spray is used.
Conclusion-spray away gentlemen but only a spritz and after a shower. Otherwose the lynx effect is going to be that the woman you're trying to woo cant see past those days of old and think you and your hygeine habits are immature.
...be described as being the Lynx Special effect...It repels everything...
I've seen the recent ad which says they have spent years on perfecting the smell or effect or whatever..The Lynx Trials they are called which is an apt description although maybe the words could me moved to : "The Trials of Lynx" since it is criminal.
My memories of Lynx is that when I was younger and working in the evening and fellow male workers were going out to a pub or ... ...a comment for me..
Lynx is made by the Faberge group, remember Brut 33? I used to use that when I was a school...Don't think they still sell it though...prove me wrong..
It didn't really iritate my skin as such after I dried the excess off and no matter how little I spray excess vapour still exists on my skin and I prefer a dry feeling...
It did work to a degree, although more a case of masking any smell and deodorising slightly as opposed to ...

...we moved in together is Lynx Deodorant Body Spray.
Lynx is part of the Faberge range and is probably the market leader in the UK with its massive range of Lynx products now available. In other countries I have seen Lynx but it is called Axe and that is not quite as effective as Lynx, is it?
I remember the first Lynx many moons ago coming onto the market but please don’t ask me to remember the names of the very first ones, but one of the early ones ... ...spray and the fragrances from Lynx all have a long lasting effect, some days I do not apply aftershave as I feel that the body spray is enough. Many people at work often comment that I am wearing nice aftershave and when I tell them it is just body spray they are like wow what kind? So overall it has the desired effect.
I will continue to always use the Lynx range and also any new ones that are introduced to the market, as the range just gets better ...

Advantages: Smells good and last for ages! Disadvantages: Expensive
...realised I had borrowed some Lynx spray from my friend after P.E and smelt good for the rest of the day. Lynx is to deodorant, like Heinz is to Baked Beans, so I thought it’s be the safe bet.
There were plenty to choose from, including Atlantis and Africa, but in the end I plumped for Voodoo as to me it smelt the nicest. Actually having sprayed so many on my hand, I probably smelt like a completely different fragrance anyway – besides ... ...home I went with my Lynx and immediately I went to play Badminton, taking the can with me to see if it worked. After an hour and a half I was pooped beyond belief – and I smelt like it too. So out came the Lynx and spray I did.
It immediately felt very cold – which was nice, and it seemed to dry my skin a bit too. Fragrance filled the air (which made me cough), as the nozzle is rather powerful and may catch you unaware, if your not careful. ...

...even though I don't wear lynx I decided to do an op about it as well....you men wear it and we lil’women love it!!!
You have all seen the ads and they have always (well me) made me chuckle all the time because it makes the men believe that if they wear it there IN CONTROL OF THE BIRDS. It is only of the few ads that makes you go and buy it and also it makes you laugh every time you see it
The thing is with me I like my men to smell good and lynx ... ...new commercial for the new lynx is (my simple text of explaining)
A not so good-looking guy at a pub standing by the bar ‘funky’ music comes on and he walks to an open space and starts to dance two girls in the background notice him dancing and join him and start to be his, (my word) his dancing bitchs all because of his Deodorant.
I really like this ad, and the lynx ads do work. The reason for this is because they are not actually putting it on ...

Lynx is now produced by Lever Faberge. These were origionally two different sections of the company Unilever who combined forces earlier this year to become one of the largest European companies that we know today. They produce many other leading household items such as Persil, Impulse, Comfort, Organics, Domestos and Surf. These are to name but a few and they claim to sell their products to nine out of every ten houses in the UK. Big money then. ... ...According to the tin Lynx is ?Lynx Deodorant Body Spray for men combines a distinctive masculine fragrance with long lasting effective deodorant protection to keep you feeling fresh?. I do not know a great deal about how Lynx keeps you feel ing fresh . Maybe the earlier editions of Lynx were more masculine but to class their products as this way now is not quite correct. More of their newer scents strike me as more unisex. They could easily be worn ...

My brother bought these 'bullets' after seeing an advert for them on TV, naming them as pocket pulling power (I haven't actually asked him if they had the desired effect but anyway...)
He paid just under £1 for a single bullet but they do now sell them in X4 packs which cost about £3 but these will all be the same scent. The three scents that are avaliable in bullets at the moment are Instinct, Dark Temptation and Vice- personally I really like the Dark Temptation option but they are all nice in their own ways- depends what your preferences are really!
On one hand this is a really great idea- a compact version of the favourite lynx smells which you can just literally tuck into your trouser/coat pocket instead of carrying around a large version which takes up valuable room in a bag! These in theory would be perfect for going to a footie ...
Advantages: Smells Nice, Value For Money Disadvantages: Very Few
Whilst perusing the shelves of my local Wilkinson's recently I spotted that their range of Men's LynxDeodorantSprays were on a buy one get one free offer at £1.49 each, yes that's just 74.5p each so I put a couple of Cans into my basket.
There are six different varieties of this range of Deodorant available (Africa, Voodoo, Apollo, Inca, Atlantis & Phoenix) and I have tried most of them at some time or another, but since there had obviously been a run on this offer the only variety available this time was the Africa range.
Over the years I have come to trust the Lynx range and I have progressed from receiving it as a Christmas Gift from my Auntie to actually going out and buying it for myself.
Lynx Africa is made by Faberge which these days is pretty much a household name, making many different Scents and Perfumes for both ...

Advantages: Light, summery, fresh fragrance. Disadvantages: A little expensive and a poor deodorant slightly spoil the range.
Men buy aftershaves and EdT for one reason - to make themselves smell nice, so members of the opposite sex will find them more attractive.
Well, L'Eau D'Issey does that job in style. Its fragrance is light and summery, suitable for daytime wear, perhaps more than evening. Its light, citrus fragrance is best suited to summer wearing; all the time I've worn it out, I've been complimented on "smelling nice". The aftershave is very mild on my face, and really is suitable, I think, for most skin types. The EdT is a little abrasive but not uncomfortable. The only letdown, however, is the deodorantspray - I found it smelt a little like window-cleaning fluid! Luckily, there are several much cheaper deodorants ('Lynx' do a nice compliment to the Issey Miyake range) on the market that go well with the aftershave / EdT.
A firm favourite ...
