Living in our house can be a bit of a task at times when it comes to grooming time, we are both fanatical about grooming products and both have our fair share of lotions and potions. One of the few products that have stuck from the time we moved in together is Lynx Deodorant Body Spray.
Lynx is part of the Faberge range and is probably the market leader in the UK with its massive range of Lynx products now available. In other countries I have seen Lynx but it is called Axe and that is not quite as effective as Lynx, is it?
I remember the first Lynx many moons ago coming onto the market but please don’t ask me to remember the
names of the very first ones, but one of the early ones that does stick and is still a big seller is Java. This was the first sign of computer language being introduced to the general public in everyday shopping.
Each can of deodorant has 150ml in them always have this has never changed and there has never in my recollection been any offers of 50% more free etc, what you would normally find is multi saver packs to for £2.99 or buy one get one free, the amount has always remained the same.
So over the years what fragrances in the range have been my favourite starting with favourite first ~
Africa ~
This is my favourite and always will be, this came out ion the early 1990’s I remember that because I was still living at home at the time and my mum also fell in love with the smell.
It is a musty smell with a beautiful woody type aroma and it lasts for ages as do all the range but this one being particularly pungent helps the smell to remain fragrant all day.
Gravity ~
This is the newest fragrance and is very in with the now, if you know what I mean? It is very fresh and sweet with a hint of citrus almost like CK One, it is quite strong to begin with and almost sickly but it dies of very quickly to become a very pleasant and soothing fragrance and lasts all day long.
Apollo ~
This came out again in the 90’s and is a great fragrance and is one of the earlier ones, it is almost musty but sweet and has a great long lasting effect, very similar to the new Gravity fragrance.
Phoenix ~
This was the fragrance of 2000 and is one of the greatest fragrance to date, it seems that the more fragrances they bring out the better they are.
This fragrance is strong and it is advisable not to lock yourself in an enclosed space when spraying this one. It has a really woody aroma to it and the only other way I can describe it is metallic. It is very futuristic if something can smell futuristic that is? A winner with the girls if you need that little added extra!
Atlantic ~
This was the final fragrance in the 90’s and it was a totally different direction for Faberge with this one it is a very pleasant and sweet smelling fragrance. It is like apples with a very slight hint of spices in there. This to is also very long lasting but is the least powerful but that is in a good way, as sometimes the other fragrances leave you choking for breath especially when Alex is applying to his body!
I have said how each fragrance lasts a while but how doe it stand overall?
Well when I use the body spray I don’t only use that, as body spray does not help those awful wet patches that we all know and love (see op on Sure for perfect remedy for this!).
I apply body spray after applying anti - per spirant spray and the fragrances from Lynx all have a long lasting effect, some days I do not apply aftershave as I feel that the body spray is enough. Many people at work often comment that I am wearing nice aftershave and when I tell them it is just body spray they are like wow what kind? So overall it has the desired effect.
I will continue to always use the Lynx range and also any new ones that are introduced to the market, as the range just gets better with time like a nice fine wine!
I have also tried and tested much of the other products in the Lynx range but I guess they are for other ops (see Lynx Razor op :o)), some of them are great and others not so great but Faberge have hit the big time with this range.
Go on give it a try and let me know what you think?
I love it when my partner wears lynx, although still coming round to the idea of 1+2 = 3 fragrance (?)

I dont wear lynx (would be real gay if i did as im female) but i know for sure that most the guys in my form are obbsessed with it, they carry it around and use it so much to the extent its been banned in out school. Its a massive commodotty, i do like the smell, its just that i get p*ssed off when my b/f refuses to admit he's wearing too much of it. Theres literraly a 2 meter perimeter around us when we're out! lol x
