We had a car with a cd player and used cd's regularly. We used to say on many ... ...put jack plugs\or USB on the front so we could listen to all our music.
After all if they had jack plugs then you could just plug in your MP3 player in. Access to 5000 songs, your favourite playlists .
Anyway we unfortunately wrote off our Honda accord car just before Christmas and had to buy a new one. We bought another second hand Honda, which I will review after we have lived with it a bit longer. Unfortunately again ... more

We had a car with a cd player and used cd's regularly. We used to say on many many many occasions why o why do stereo manufacturers not put jack plugs\or USB on the front so we could listen to all our music.

Anyway we unfortunately wrote off our Honda accord car just before Christmas and had to buy a new one. We bought another second hand Honda, which I will review after we have lived with it a bit longer. Unfortunately again the car only had a cassette recorder in the stereo. This is very restrictive in terms of musical enjoyment as tape cassettes are relatively poor quality and only carry a small number of tracks. It really is amazing just how used to having all the music of a 6 cd changer, and boy do you miss it when it is not there. What to do..........
Well I found a product on ebay that on the surface of it was the answer. It purported to transfer the music from your MP3 player to the car stereo with no loss of sound quality. It was a tape cassette with a stereo jack lead and plug leading off it. You simply place the cassette in your car stereo and the jack plug in your MP3 player. Set your car stereo to play the tape and bobs your uncle............................ Mp3 sound quality and choice out of your car speakers. This cannot be true we thought , MP3 sound quality.............after all it's a tape cassette isn't it.
Anyway it costs a whooping £1.29, with the extortionate postage the item totalled £3.28. We ummm'd and ahhhh'd over such an expensive purchase but thought we'd give it a go.
We excitedly unpacked our item which had been delivered super fast from the UK seller. It is unexciting to look at a standard tape cassette with a 40n inch (102cm) lead coming out of the corner, with a jack plug on the end. It has a head but no actual tape in it, we were a bit aprehensive it would work at all.
We whipped out to the car and took her for a spin. We connected up the jack plug to the MP3 player, slotted in the cassette and pressed the tape function. The anticipation was mounting, the tape made a clunking and whirring noise as it connected and began turning. Then out of the car speakers came the the Who, it was great, just like listening with the MP3 player. The entire stereo controls work as normal meaning you can adjust volume; bass treble etc in addition to the settings on your MP3 player.
In addition if you have a remote for your MP3 player you can clip it to your seat belt and then be able to fast forward, rewind, jump playlists etc safely.
the sun comes out - you jump straight to your driving songs playlist the sun goes in it raining and - off you go to the sad playlist Your stuck in traffic - off to the hard rock section (you know what I mean, best to get rid of that rising frustration with a little loud music). Or is this just me?
Seriously thought you should use a remote because you really ought not be picking up your player and taking your eyes off the road ;-)
I cannot explain how this happens as my technical skills are severely lacking when it comes to Audio stuff. All I can say is that this little device allows you to listen to all your MP3 music with excellent clarity and very little distortion.
