Coming in at approx Ł16, this is a slightly more expensive range of MAC lipsticks, however when you think that 100 percent of the sales directly benefit the M·A·C AIDS Fund then you are happy to pay a bit more.
The charity lipstick range is currently available in 5 colours: Viva Glam I, II, III, IV & V.
I particularly like Viva Glam IV. This is a dark raspberry shade which would suit medium to darker skin tones.
I think it is important to get the shade right when choosing a lipstick however the wearability is just as important. This lipstick glides on easily and can still be seen on my lips a good few hours later without any touch up.... given that I haven't been eating.
I have been using this lipstick colour for a good few years now (2-3) and won't even try anything else. It is my day time colour as is and my night time colour with a touch of gloss on top.
I also think MAC have it right in that they recycle their packaging. All you have to do is collect 6 of their plastic cases (lipsticks, eyeshadows etc.) and take them to the MAC counter. Not only are these sent for recycling you can choose a free lipstick for your trouble (not from the Viva Glam range though).
