Getting an MBNA credit card was the worst investment descion I have ever made. I initally applied for their card because they offered an intial low rate of 9% for 6 months and becasue they offered a credit card cheque book, meaning that you could give anyone a cheque who cannot process credit card transactions.
My made problem with MBNA is their customer service - or lack thereof. Their customer service team is aggresive, rude and unhelpful. If you pass the payment period date by one day they will call you up at work or home and demand to talk to you. There fees are exessive - one wonders if anyone can ever get out of debt if they pile on fee after fee.
Their 0800 numbers rarely work or are manned

My feelings too - I'm currently in the process of getting rid of my MBNA card. And it's not just a question of terms and conditions - the underlying attitude to customers is pretty bad, which unfortunately can't be gauged in advance from adverts or leaflets.
One to stay away from in future.

Lawrenson you read the Terms and Conditions before you signed the card, did they change when your payment was late
