While exchanging some currency in Thomas Cook (TC) travel agents, I took the opportunity to pick up a leflet about their company branded MBNA credit cards. I was using another Visa card at the time, which was a no frills type of thing. Use it to pay, pay off your balance, start again. I read the leaflet and was quite suprised to find some of the benefits offered by using the card. 1.5% "cashback" in the form of TC pounds redeemable aginst holidays booked with TC and an addtional 0.5%(up tp £1000 spent) to 1% (over £1000 spent) extra cashback if you used the card to actually book the hoilday. There is also no credit card booking fee at TC shops using the TC card, along with no credit card hadling fee on buying hoilday money and commission free currency and travellers cheques again when using the TC card. It comes with the offers of all the usual benificial credit transfers, travel insurance (by MBNA not TC), internet protection, purchase protection etc., As I pay my balance off in full each month I do not fall foul of charges so I do not know about the downside in this respect. But another advantage is, now I pay for everything that I would have paid for using my Switch card (petrol, shopping etc.,) which leaves my account immediately, with the TC card, thus ramping up the cashback earned and pay off my TC card at the end of each month, leaving my cash in my account for a bit longer.
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
Not a bad op - and I appreciate you pay off your balance every month - but it would be useful to potential customers to have access to all the relevant information to enable them to make an informed decision - info such as interest rates, customer service lines etc. If you update. let me know and I will happily rerate.

I did not know Thomas Cook have their visa card. MBNA seems to be promoting their sevices quite a lot.

MBNA cards really seem to have taken off lately. I have a standard plantinum Visa, but don't really use it as there are no standard rewards.
