I have signed up for this credit card at the airport via Ryanair! Some man in his 30's came up to me asking "Would you be interested in..." and then I cut him of with "No!" and he goes "Its a long que, there is nothing better to do while you are waiting to check in yout bags than siging up for Ryanair Credit Card that offers low interest rates and great benefits!" and I thought "Ok...." I filled in the application for in about 5mins as it was quite simple and straight forward.
Within 3 weeks time I have received a letter saying that my application has been accepted and I will have a credit limit over £3k and I was like - WOW! That's Great!! :) What was even better - rewards!
When you spend first £250 MBNA sends you Ryanair free return flight voucher! All you have to do is chose time and destination of where you want to go! Call up MBNA and provide them with your voucher code. They will then check if there are seats availabe on your desired flight and you will be able to book your flight over the phone there and then! You will have to pay for tax though. But its still better than paying full ticket price.
Whenever you spend on your credit card more than £1k in quarter, you are eligible for a one free return flight again! :) And once you have purchased more than 5 flights using this credit card - you will receive free flight voucher again! :) I think its great!
I also like customer service. I never had to wait on the phone for too long nor have I been transferred to several departments in order to deal with my query.
The Internet banking provided by MBNA is definiteally a plus!! Straight forward and easy to use! You can even view your pin online if you have forgotten it! I would say its quite safe if you have a firewall and antispy hardware.
In terms of interest rates... they vary but in comparison to Barclaycard and others are quite low. Its is possible to pay off your balance within 56 days without being charged any interest and it is quite helpful as well.
Once I have started using this credit card, I have stopped using all the other credit cards I have.
I can proudly recommend this credit card to everyone! :)
