I have had my card for 8 months , they have missed sending me 4 bills . There for 4 times I have been late with payment , I do not have this problem with any other card and this is what happens
I do not receive bill so the card goes unpaid , they then get a 3rd party company to phone me up , they will not say who the are phoning from until you pass there security checks . Once you pass the security checks they then ask for payment and say you will be charged a late fee . If you then pay over the phone like I did the first 3 times they still phone you at least 6 times a day with two calls being voice calls and the others being dropped phone calls until the payment has cleared . they will phone as early as 9am and as late as 9pm . they will not stop until you have paid them . You will have no one to complain to , when I tried to complain about the phone calls from the 3rd party companies to MBNA (head office) they said they would keep phoning till payment is cleared and MBNA can't stop them . Now I have also complained about the missing bills and they will not help , they will charge you £5 to send what they call another copy even though they did not send the first one .
I have informed them I will not be paying my bill until I get one . I do not have this problem form Barclay card or Tesco's Card . They also remove your free interest rate if your late . this is going to happen as they do not send bills and if they do they are late
be warned this company will no matter how good you are at paying any other bills , will rip you off . You have been warned

Why not manage your account online? That way you don't need to worry about waiting for their bills, and you can make payments direct from your bank account in plenty of time to avoid their charges. I do agree about their tactics and general behaviour - they're an extremely unethical credit card company - pushy, aggressive and uncaring.
Advantages: MBNA are one of the most accessible banks around, and seem to want to please their customers Disadvantages: Balance Transfer Fee, poor points scheme
