Smart cars have been on the roads of poole for over a year now although the majority seem to be left hand drive which is in itself a large minus. I think that they look very ugly but hey looks are only skin deep. I can see that this car will have a lot of disadvantages for starters it has only 2 seats and practically no luggage space so if 2 of you go to tescos where does the food go which seems to be very unpractical. Another thing that comes to mind is that as a very small car they look highly vunerable in a road accident. I know car safety has improved but the smaller the vehicle the less there is to absorb damage.

I had a smart car for 6 months.........they are dangerous and mine spent more time on a tow truck than being driven! Good op, short but goes right to the point!x

Just thought you should know: just coz it may look highly vunerable in a road accident, this is not the case. The car is actually VERY safe; it has the Tridion safety cell, air bags for driver/passenger/side impact, and even the seating position was arranged to move the occupants from the danger zone of a side impact. When the Smart car was designed the whole purpose was to make a revolutionary car, and they succeeded in that. The size of your car will do nothing to protect you in an accident, but anyway i'm obviously biased by the fact that i always liked the car even before driving one. If its big cars you like take a look at the new Smart ForFour 5door family smartcar with manual or automatic transmission and even has a DVD nav system.

Sorry for the low rating, but there is hardly any info on the car. In my reviews I split them up into sections, you could do the same, (e.g. One on the engine, paints etc). This would not only make it easier to read but add more length and detail. If you update leave me a note in my guestbook I will probably re-rate - from Chazzer3

no info (at all!...) that could help someone to make a buying decision
