Advantages: Cooks food Disadvantages: Explodes and showers you and your kitchen in glass
...We bought this oven from MFI along with our kitchen and had it installed for three weeks when the glass in the door exploded. After ringing MFI Extra Care they sent out a replacement door which then exploded in the same way within 48 hours of fitting.
After another phone call, extra care are now sending out an engineer and a third door but will not refund/exchange the unit. I'm addressing this and hope to get an alternative or a refund, but I wanted to warn peolpe to stay away from Diplomat ovens (and their dishwashers incidentally) as there are a lot of reports about exploding glass.
Theres an interesting thread on this with more stories (including mine) of exploding glass at -

Advantages: Fills a gap in a kitchen while you wait for them to repair it. Disadvantages: Cheaply made, even cheaper customer service
...Hotpoint (Indesit are their parent company) will sell you their product through MFI and when the machine breaks, AND IT WILL, they will:
A: Send an engineer out (at their convienience not yours).
B: Tell you it must be your fault it's broken.
C: Begrudgingly fix it (although this will take 4 visits - again at their convienience)
D: The machine will break in exactly the same place (cheap plastic paddles that make the clothes tumble) in less than 3 months.
E: They will insist that the warranty is out of date and that they will only send an engineer to look at the product if you pay them £104 UPFRONT!! Even though the parts they replaced are 3 months old and therefore technically still in warranty.
Listen to those voices that tell you you'd be a mug to go anywhere near Hotpoint, Indesit and MFI.
P.S. The fact that you...

Advantages: Double Oven, fan assisted, easy to use Disadvantages: It is more expensive if it isnt white
...in the grill and they can be placed in six different levels to cook your food. This oven door, like the grill is also double glazed and has a see through window, this means you can view the oven contents and check on them without opening the door and essentially causing the temperature within the oven to drop.
Now this oven is marked as Energy Class A and what that means it is the most energy efficient model that there is which equates to me using less electric and essentially my electric bills will be much lower. It uses heat to cook or in John's case burn the food.
This oven can be purchased from most kitchen appliance shops such as MFI, Comet and Dixons and as I mentioned earlier in my review the price does differ slightly between having a conventional white coloured oven and a Silver one so definitely shop around to find...
