Yepp YP-53 MP3 player Advantages: Small, stylish and very cool Disadvantages: The headphones hurt my ears to start with Being a complete MP3 player virgin it was with some trepidation that I opened the box at Christmas. I couldn't believe that somebody had bought me one and immediately thought it would be way too complicated and that I would never use it!! How wrong was I? When I unpacked the box I was surprised at how easy it was to put all the bits together and immediately managed to get the radio working. I was amazed at the quality of the sound and just how crisp ... ...I got home to try loading some CD's onto it. I was a little nervous when I first plugged it into my laptop, but the software that came with it made loading CD's a cinch. I couldn't believe how easy it was and that I could now have my own portable CD library. Right, now for the technical bits. It has 512mb built in memory and supports MP3 and WMA audio formats. beautiful music Advantages: small, simple and beautiful Disadvantages: ear pieces uncomfortable As an MP3 novice, i was baffled when it came to picking the right one for my two sons this Christmas, so my partner did! he looked about and asked around and came to the conclusion that as a first MP3 player this one was just the job. The boys and myself were amazed at just how small and beautiful it is. I had the task of getting the boys started with their music and i was dreading it, however the instructions couldn't have been simpler after loading ... ...screen were very easy to follow and understand. My boys are now enjoying listening to their favourite music, with good sound quality, where ever they go. My only criticism is that the ear pieces do become uncomfortable after awhile and it would probably pay to invest in a pair of more comfy ear pieces. Samsung YP-T9 MP3 Player Advantages: small, sleek and brilliant Disadvantages: could have included the bluetooth headset What a great toy! I love it! It looks just like samsungs mobile phones but smaller and thinner and much lighter, but dont be deceived it seems quite hardy. Only downside i think for some people will be the buttons on the side which if you have big fingers will take some getting used to but heh it takes us all time to get used to something new. Most of the navigation is actually through the controls on the front. I reckon this is a really good MP3 ... ...Mpeg4's) Music sounds fab and the software is really easy to use. It enables you to drag tracks, pics or movies to the mp3 player. The 1 meg costs £79.99 from comet and i believe the 2 meg is around £120ish, not sure about the 4 meg one. The screen is actually quite large compared to some other mp3's. Samsung Yepp. It's good, so get one. Advantages: Timeless Design, Easy to Use, Robust, Compact, Equaliser presets are good, Good Microphone Disadvantages: 32M not enough, Memory cards still too expensive You can tell a product is designed well when you can still impress your friends with it years later. I got mine when I was in uni and I still use it on a regular basis. It still looks good, still works good, and of course still sounds good. It's much smaller than a CD player, and the sound quality is just as good. Plus the batteries seem to last longer than a CD player, probably because they don't have to move mechanical componentry. I hook mine ... ...headphones or to my sound system at home, and the sound quality in each case is excellent. The preset equaliser settings are appropriate to the style of music, and make a major difference. I also use mine to record meetings at work. Provided the Yepp is in a good position for microphone pick-up, the audio is good enough to make out what is being said, even if the speaker is a couple of metres away.
