- Archos Introduction - > A short insight into Archos.
Archos was an established company in 1988. A storage data 'niche' was found in the market; by which they explored with different types of data components. It wasn't too long when Archos got into portable media players (PMP) and specialised in storage data for entertainment ... ...player 'Archos Gmini XS100'.
Archos have been a global leader in portable technologies since the early 1990's. If, you are not aware of Archos; I can state that everyone in the Western world has certainly used their products and technologies on a daily basis. Anyone who has been through an electronic door while on a shopping trip, or had had their credit card scanned or even used a 'touch-screen' monitor for map reading, or purchasing items, have ...

Nice idea, but unstable
Review of Archos Jukebox 6000 6 MB by
sydneytheduck
Advantages: You can create your own directory structure, holds lots of Mp3s, can be used as file storage
Disadvantages: unreliable
...The batteries on the Archos last a lot longer than the Creative Labs (of which I also had 2 that broke, but that’s another review), but still only about 4 or 5 hours. The main problem I had with the Archos was that it kept crashing. I installed the firmware upgrades from the website as suggested by the retailer, but unfortunately this didn’t help. And the third and final machine had an odd habit of switching the power light on and then locking me ... ...about it until the power ran out. Which was creepy.
If it wasn’t for these problems (and lets face it, ‘It Not Working’ is a pretty major problem!) I quite liked the Archos! I liked the way you could organise your files anyway you liked in folders like on any other hard drive, rather than the player organise them by tag. And the way you could use Music Match playlists (which is my Mp3 prog of choice anyway) although they seem to have to be in the ...

All you need to know about the Ipod Classic 80gb
Review of Apple iPod classic 80 GB by
mario_s
Advantages: Too many to list... just read the review
Disadvantages: Barely any, maybe the screen is a tad small
...the aesthetics. Usability is something apple has always prided itself on and it definitely doesnt disappoint. The scroll wheel feels comfortable to use and it is very easy to select what you want with minimal fuss. This gives the ipod the edge over its creative competitors as their scroll system is deeply flawed as its very fiddly.
Audio quality is where the ipod has been challeged in recent generations, but having conducted stringent tests with ... ...is no worse than anything sony or creative can throw at it. Audio quality generally comes down to two things, the quality of the music and the quality of the headphones. Personally im not a huge fan of the ipod headphones so i have bought a £20 pair of sennheisers that do the job nicely.
In terms of video playback the screens quality is very good, but its its size that limits it. It becomes very tiring when watching a feature length movie, but if ...

Review of Apple iPod touch 8 GB by

Advantages: Amazing lots of uses
Disadvantages: not really pocket size
The apple ipod touch is an amazing device that can be used almost anywhere at almost anytime. It is a very clever device that allows you to listen to your favourite music or watch your favourite movies on the go.
I have one of these myself and bought it for around only £100 and i can tell you now it is worth over £200!
It is well worth the money what ever price you but it for. It is touch screen durable and most of them come with so much memory ...

Apple iPod Touch
Review of Apple iPod touch 8 GB by
yusi88
Advantages: Very quick and simple
Disadvantages: Youtube videos can load up a little slow
...it also came with some apple stickers.
Once i managed to turn the ipod on i set up the internet which was really quick. It has some really good features and is a good nifty gadget. Although it can get slow sometimes like when you want to load a youtube video up it takes quite a while. But the internet is really good although you cant watch videos on it or view some pictures. The back also gets scratched really easily but overall i would rate this ...
