Samsung YP-U2R 2GB Advantages: Samsung, lot of space, lasts heavy use. Disadvantages: It can only charge through USB. ...product I have had from Samsung was great and longlasting, with usually the options you want on that product. This is a 2GB ( 1964MB? ) MP3 player, even though it supports alot of other audiofiles. It will not play videos or display pictures, its pure music. ---- Functions ----- The obvious ones first: Hold - Unless you slide it from hold again no button will respond. Next - Play next track ( does not work in 'hold' ) Prev - Play previous track ... ...Add 1 to the volume ( to a maximum of '30' ) Minus - Subtract 1 of the volume ( to a minimum of '0' ) The cool ones next: M - Menu, okay, enter, it pretty much just works as the button you need, it rocks, its nice and solid, and nicely positioned in the center of 4 buttons. Yepp YP-53 MP3 player Advantages: Small, stylish and very cool Disadvantages: The headphones hurt my ears to start with Being a complete MP3 player virgin it was with some trepidation that I opened the box at Christmas. I couldn't believe that somebody had bought me one and immediately thought it would be way too complicated and that I would never use it!! How wrong was I? When I unpacked the box I was surprised at how easy it was to put all the bits together and immediately managed to get the radio working. I was amazed at the quality of the sound and just how crisp ... ...I got home to try loading some CD's onto it. I was a little nervous when I first plugged it into my laptop, but the software that came with it made loading CD's a cinch. beautiful music Advantages: small, simple and beautiful Disadvantages: ear pieces uncomfortable As an MP3 novice, i was baffled when it came to picking the right one for my two sons this Christmas, so my partner did! he looked about and asked around and came to the conclusion that as a first MP3 player this one was just the job. The boys and myself were amazed at just how small and beautiful it is. I had the task of getting the boys started with their music and i was dreading it, however the instructions couldn't have been simpler after loading ... ...screen were very easy to follow and understand. My boys are now enjoying listening to their favourite music, with good sound quality, where ever they go. My only criticism is that the ear pieces do become uncomfortable after awhile and it would probably pay to invest in a pair of more comfy ear pieces.
