Manufacturer's product description
The E7500 Master-LS (MS-9101) is a superior computer mainboard based on Intel E7500 chipset for optimal system efficiency. Designed to fit the advanced Intel Prestonia processors in the 603-pin package, the motherboard provides a solution for front-end and general-purpose server/workstation in the entry-level and mid-range market segment.
Advantages: Fast, cheap, stable, excellent support and v good manual Disadvantages: Requires a minimum of Win ME upwards
...Ive been using the MSi 845E max (6566e) motherboard for the past 2 years and it still performs as stable now as it did back then.
The board itself is very well packaged and comes with all the usual extras including drivers CD and IDE cables for both CD-roms/hard drives and floppy disc aswell as an excellently informative and well laid out manual.
The 845E Max by MSi supports all Pentium 4 processors as well as Celerons upto 3.06 ghz using the built in 845E Intel chipset and includes full support for both 133mhz front side bus (FSB) quad pumped (133 x 4 = 533 fsb) Pentium 4's and 184 pin PC 2100 (266mhz) DDR memory upto 2 ghz, there are 2 available memory slots which is plenty for most people and i whole heartedly recommend firstly adding 1 x 512mb of DDR to the motherboard so as to leave 1 free DDR slot if you ever chose to add...

Advantages: Value for money, competent integrated hardware (especially the sound) Disadvantages: Geforce2 MX a little dated for todays games
...I was building a PC on a budget over a year ago, and was looking for a solution that offered a good price/performance ratio. It was then that I stumbled across a new concept in motherboards - nVidias nForce chipset.
>Overview<
---------------
This MSImotherboard utilises nVidia's nForce chipset.
nVidias nForce (now superceded by the nForce2 and 3) was and is a milestone in motherboard technology. Never before had so many competent technologies been bundled into one board.
The chipset main features are:
Support for Duron/Athlon/XP processors with an FSB of 100/133mhz
...and thus 200/266mhz DDR RAM memory in DUAL CHANNEL mode.
Integrated nVidia Geforce2MX-class 'crush' graphics
Integrated nVidia SoundStorm Dolby Digital 5.1 sound
Onboard Networking
As far as CPU support goes, I think this goes up to the Athlon XP...

Advantages: Reliable, Good Online Support/Updates, Affordable, Good Layout Disadvantages: Only two SATA controllers, Sound & Graphics could be better
...We have stocked this MSI K9VGM-V motherboard for over 3 months now. And, to its credit, considering it's more of a budget board, we haven't had one failure with them. Considering the number we sell, that is very good!
Good Points: Reliable Motherboard, Nicely laid out for keeping the inside of the PC clear of trailing cables, Cheap to buy, Simple BIOS & MSI offer what is called a 'Live Update' for its motherboards which works much better than some other manufacturers.
Bad Point: Only two SATA controllers onboard, Onboard Sound & Graphics not quite as good as those offered by its competitors in the same catergory.
All in all we'd say that this board is great for system builders who are putting together a home/budget type package but is probably unsuitable for the more adventurous computer user....
