Well as video cards go this is no more impressive than any of todays cards but in its time (autumn 2003) it was a state of the art card, and although ATi still beat nvidia on performance per pound it was still a fantastic card.
The thing that attracted me most to it was the pure performance of it, but it also had VIVO functions for me to do some video editing with and MSI was and still is one of the few manufacturers that provide a decent package (i.e. all the cables, more software that you knew what to do with (full games, demo games, full software and all the cables) and quick and full manuals).
It was one of the easiest cards to install, just slot it into the AGP slot. Next attact the extra power cable (NOTE: on any card that requires extra power, never use the same power cable that is plugged into the HDD as the hard drive requires a lot of power as well.
As mentioned above thel et down on it was the price. I purchased mine in september 2003 and that was £175 odd point
